After spoiling another evening for Sky/ESPN viewers with last nights 0-0 draw hopefully, next Christmas they may leave us alone and let us kick off at 3pm on Boxing Day at home for the first time in ages. Its not too much to ask.
-
I couldn't believe it was the only live game yesterday.
-
I don't really give a shit about those that watch on tv. I feel for the loyal fans who gave up their boxing night evening to support their team.
I suppose when you sell your arse to the devil you should expect no less...

Of all of the games to put on why us again? Surely Man U v Wigan would have been better (guaranteed goals) or even Chelsea v Fulham as a derby. (Question - why is this seemingly the most ignored derby in the world?)

Chelsea v Fulham as a derby. (Question - why is this seemingly the most ignored derby in the world?)
Because Chelsea don't care about it?

Sky did it to fill the quota....(they need to show all teams at least 5 teams over the season).
Can get ourselves and Stoke out of the way for the title chasers in March/April.
Sad but true.

Strange to put our match on. Pulis and McLeish are hardly advocates of exciting footy.
-
Even more annoying when all the pubs in our village were shut when we got back from Stoke.

In a weird way I'm glad it was a shit game. It's all Sky deserves for messing the kick off time around for those of us that went there.
Even worse, as it was on Boxing Day the amount of absolutely wasted blokes in the away end was crazy. Where I was standing I saw two different sets of Villa fans at each others throats over the short end of fuck all, just because they were pissed up. Ridiculous. Had it been a 3pm kick off then they wouldn't have had time to get so clattered.
Travelling away with the Villa is normally good fun but last night had a bad atmosphere which had nothing at all to do with the home fans.

I would have preferred a 3 o'clock kick off as the late start meant I had to leave the hotel where there was a free bar from six till ten to go to the pub down the road to watch it. It was however 100% full of Villa fans from what I could tell. Special mention to Carl from Kingstanding who was quite a character. I had a sneaky feeling there may be an interesting story as to why he left the Midlands.

Let's hope next year we get a three o'clock kick off at home.
