What a load of b@ll@x !

The Spanish press are even worse than the English press. They have entire newspapers dedicated to sport and 90% of that is Real Madrid/Barcelona. That's about fifty pages to fill a day with rumours, speculation and made-up bullshit. Take the amount of bullshit in the English press and multiply it by 1,000.
In any case... no thankyou. If he's fallen out with Lionel Messi who's to say that he won't fall out with Lionel Heskey? We can't take that chance.
-
This is more like it!
Welcome, David...

If this is true it just sums up the lack of ambition of Lerner, Faulkner and McLeish.
Why aren't we going after Messi or Ronaldo?
-
Be great if we signed him, been a few years since I could get the latest replica shirt that actually says Villa on it.
-
Someones been at the sherry.
-
if this happens i will eat my Sou'wester
-
If he did play for us we could sing,
'Villa, Villa - so good they named him twice'
-
I'm glad to read these rumors, even if I'm sure that are bollocks, as I am proud that the the once mighty AVFC is still drawn to the top football players and clubs.

You sound just like Risso.
-
typical Villa,
they get your hopes up about signing Bobby Zamora, then go and bring in some foriegn journeyman lightwieght
-
Ha ha ha ha
-
It's that time of year? What April 1st?
-
It's true, my mate just saw him buying a packet of Rizlas, a Kinder Egg and the Christmas Radio Times in the Texaco garage on Aston Lane! It's all over Twitter or something!

I want some of that sangria , that reporter is drinking ........
-
They probably trying to sell papers, villa to villa probably link his name to the club.
Might improve the gate and shirt sales, he wouldn't score we'd hoof it over his head
-
I was suprised he was 30 .
f**k him , too old ;)
-
Can he play right b...
Nah, can't be arsed.
-
I like the " his fate seem to be set for one of the great English clubs mainly Chlesea, Liverpool and Aston Villa" Only one thing wrong there Chelsea are not a great english club.
Loan deal to AV is a possibility as Barca will not want him to go to a CL rival club.
-
ITSOTP :-)

He'll be off to Manchester then.

On the mail forum a chap reckons that the paper responsible for the story is based in Madrid and they put these articles in to wind up Barca.
My lad reckons that if Bent goes it's going to take a signing like this to appease the fans.
Can't see either happening, but, it is nice to be mentioned with players like that.
-
I know its not going to happen but just the image of a guy used to playing with some of the finest footballers to ever grace the game, standing there with his hands on his hips as James Collins hoofs the ball 40 yards over his head has given me a little smile.
-
Off to get the shirt then. Our number 7 possibly on his way too? Coincidence, I think not!
-
Apparently he has always wanted to work with McLeish so I reckon it's a done deal...
-
It does make some sense.
He's getting on a bit, entering the later years of his career, will probably fancy slowing down the pace somewhat. He'll have heard about Darren Bent's 24 touches on average per game and thought "yeah, that sounds like the kind of easy earner I fancy"

From Madrid? It's practically Real's fanzine!
-
We have a transfer thread for daft stories that aren't going to happen.
