I was encouraged by the team selection and a lot of our play. the other side of that is just how poor are bolton? Sunderland look very similar to me - poor but still good enough to despatch blackburn with a bit of huff and puff and new manager syndrome. Certainly on that performance i think we'll probably stay up barring a horrendous loss of form and injuries but i don't think a finish around 13-14th or so (which is where i think we are) is going to satisfy anyone come May.

Post by: Concrete John on December 15, 2011, 09:43:16 AM: I think there's a big difference between satisfaction and what some would accept. 13th or 14th would not be satisfactory to me, and as it goes I think we'll end up a bit higher, but for going through a process of clearing out what we need to and bringing the (not so) youngsters into the first team, I'd accept it.

But the only way we'll see that is if they're played in a system that doesn't stifle creativity. And actually picked in the first place, of course.

Get yourself some clove oil, sorted me out last time I lost a filling and had to wait to see the dentist.
