John Russell, writer, historian, genius, hirer-of Digbeth Civic Hall, was knocked down a few days along along with his son. John suffered a broken arm, Paul a broken leg.
Best wishes to both of them.
-
Yes, get well soon John. Please pass on my best regards to him Dave.

Best wishes to them both.

Get well soon John.
Strangely enough earlier this week I was reading about his exploits in 1961 when he was the only Villa fan to make the journey to Plymouth for the fourth round League Cup replay. It's quite a story but for the life of me I can't find it now to provide a link.
Suffice to say he somehow managed to end up after the match at the team hotel having dinner with the players and Joe Mercer.
-
Hope he and his son are better, soon.

At least he got to have dinner with the players and manager after the game...........I imagine that there are one or two Villa fans who travelled to White Hart Lane last week who would have jumped at the chance of a post match meal with Alex McLeish. ;D

Best wishes lads, hope it's not his writing arm.
