How dare he praise the supporters of the club he managed at the time. He'll be saying something nice about us as fans next. McLeish Out!

Noses are talking about using that clip in their pre-game video next time they play us at the Sty.

I look forward to seeing it again in about 15 years time then.

Don't see what the problem is?

Did we expect him to walk out and start singing "My old Man..."?

It'd be fcuking funny if he did!

But seriously - exactly what is the point of this thread?

I havent seen the clip and couldnt care less what he said about blues-people need to stop these pathetic attacks on our manager and get behind him , whoever took over the club in the situation he inherited would find it tough and i wish him nothing but well, doing a job with his best players sold and little money to replace them with-if you want to point the finger of blame look at randy not alex.

But we usually draw Blackburn or Man U in the FA Cup?

Compass, you aren't allowed multiple usernames on this site.

As for the club he left putting it in their official pre match video for the off chance of the next game, they are even more small time then their own fans sending him postcards from their European trip.

What a completely pointless thread. When he was manager of Blues - that's when he was manager of Blues, before he was manager of Villa - he thanked the fans. That's the fans of the club he was managing at the time

*sigh*

There are plenty of reasons for not wanting McLeish as Villa manager, this isn't one of them.

Agree with many, what's the point of this?
He was their manager at the time, and I'm sure he holds no ill feeling towards them now.
More interestingly, you'll find that he's never mentioned his time at blues since he left.
He'd been unhappy with the blues board for some time as they kept shafting him with broken promises.
