Cheers, my wife bought me the home programme as a present (yearof my birth) any idea on scorers and crowd?

Sewell scored in both games, no idea of their scorers or the crowds though.

Armstrong scored for them and, as PWS says, Jackie Sewell for us, crowd 26,949

Looking at Statto, our aggregate from games against Everton that season was 9-1.

Note the absence of floodlights which explains the 2.15pm kick off. Also it says Match No.10 as The Villa News & Record would always produce a programme (usually 4 pages) for central league reserve games.

We also played 12 games in the last 4 weeks of that season. And then an FA Cup final a week after that. I wonder if the players back then whinged that they were playing too much football?
