Not sure if it's been mentioned before but looking at our players it's as though this seasons shirt is made from a material that allows all the body sweat to be absorbed so that the shirt sticks to a players body. Is the new shirt made of sponge?
-
I think the replica kits are made of recylced plastic bottles.
-
Petrov always looks like he's just been for a swim.
-
Barca players have complained about their Nike shirts too. Retains all the sweat apparently.
-
Apparantly Blues have had similar problems with thier kit, the cleaners were finding it impossible to wash off the sh*t from the shirt, until someone pointed out that it was supposed to look like that!

Now that is a shocker...........Barca players are so shit, they actually break into a sweat. :)
-
On that very subject ( this season's shirts ), I bet we haven't sold many.
Nike are also slipping behind in the creativity department - even Umbro ( who they own) design better shirts - work that one out !
-
This season kit is slowly growing on me. I'd still like to see someone mock up home and away adidas kits.
Saying that, I'd be quite pissed off if we ended up with a formulated template like Baggies and Stoke.
-
I have to say I really like this years shirt. Pleased to see the back of that dreadful checked side panel
-
I brought a training top, I don't like either. Didn't get last years either, I believe the away shirt has sold really well
-
I'd be surprised if the away shirt is selling well, we're hardly going to need it this season, with West Ham going down and no claret/ red teams replacing them. And with it being white, we'll probably turn out in the home kit away to Sunderland and Stoke as well, leaving aways at Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool as potentially the only occasions it'll see the light of day (barring FA cup draws), unless we start wearing it away unnecessarily like some clubs do. Villa to wear white at Norwich, anyone?
-
I'm thinking of getting the home shirt at christmas time get one in the sale be cheaper that way.

Id love to see a Villa aidias kit ..
-
Yep they would be much better than Nike stuff available now Juan Pablo...and I'd probably spend a fortune on down the club shop on casual/training kits too. Some of the Baggies casual/training stuff looks really good if it wasnt for the filthy club badge.
-
Is this the last year of the Nike deal?
Would like to see us get Umbro, Puma or Adidas (although I have to say Adidas kits don't seem to be as good as they used to).
-
I liked my replica home kit.. Until I put Makoun's name on the back and he left about 5 days later.
-
I'm very ready for us to ditch Nike and go to Puma or Adidas.
-
Go back to Umbro, just so they can bring out an updated version of the 1992/93 classic.

Brilliant, full of doom and gloom everywhere and you want a kit with string round its neck!! :-)
-
I quite liked this seasons kit from seeing it on tv. A mate of mine told me they were on sale in rebel sport in Brisbane (minus the club sponsor for some reason). So I went down to get one- couldn't decide whether to get the home or away but was gonna probably get the away as white is better in the qld heat.
When I saw it in the shop I was shocked. A cheaper nastier material I have yet to see. Terrible, both of them. I tried on the large and whilst it comfortably accommodated my ample gut, it was almost down to my knees. Reluctantly I walked away unwilling to part with the 120 dollar asking price (approx 90 quid).
Had a look at the Celtic and man u ones to compare quality and both seemed to have better material and quality finish.

Someone on here wrote the club is bringing out a retro one of these anyway, keep your eyes peeled for it as I haven't seen any pics yet.
-
If anyone knows where I can get a 1957 FA Cup winning shirt with long sleeves, please let me know !
It's the claret and blue striped one - and it's the last time we won that damned elusive cup.
-
As long as we don't see a skin type Kappa kit.
-
Adidas consistently make decent kits.
-
Who was the guy that did the mock ups before? Would be great to see similar designs in an adidas format.

On the OS there is a picture of a retro version of the 1993-95 Asics shirt but when you click on Retro shirts it's not in there.

Got a Villa catalogue in the post. They have two retro kits, one the 92/93 kit that we wore in the first season of the premier league with the strings, the other the stripy one we wore in the two seasons after that. The first one is called the 1990 kit for some reason though.
I am hoping they release a retro 95-96 kit with AST on as that was my favourite ever kit.
-
That's spooky as I just dug out both the 93 and 94 home shirts for future games. I need a new lucky shirt after the BFR Brazil shirt let me down after the baggies game.
-
how about a Henson revisited, someone has already commented on another thread this season has the feel of 1986 to it!
great top that was tho despite the lack of a badge!
and the hooded tracksuit top was a really cool item
-
For all of the negative associations linked to the Henson kit, it was damn good quality.
Back in the 80s wearing your colours to a game, certainly an away game, was asking for trouble, so my kits back then were almost exclusively used for playing 5-a-side in. It says something for the speed of Villa's demise that in my first year at college I was wearing an only just out of date Le Coq Sportif Champions of Europe shirt and in my final year it was the Henson relegation shirt.
