Title: Old songs
Post by: Dave Clark Five on September 24, 2011, 12:46:54 AM
There were two versions of Cliff Richard's 'Bachelor Boy'.

When I was young, my father said
'Son, I have something to say'
And what he told me I'll never forget
Until my dying day.

He said 'Son, you are a Villa fan and that's the way you'll stay.
Happy to be a Villa fan until your dying day'.

The other version included words such as 'son you are a city fan'.

Naturally it concluded with 'bollocks, I am a Villa fan, and that's the way I'll stay. Happy to be a Villa fan until my dying day'.

When I was young I fell in love with a Blues fan as sweet as could be
Then I remembered just in time what my father to said to me
He said, son you are a Villa fan.............................
