Lovely.

Great stuff.
Does beg the question though, when did we stop singing You'll Never Walk Alone? As a kid we often seemed to sing it, and looking back it just seemed to vanish but I can't for the life of me remember when.

Fantastic.
Enjoyed the rooftop Conga! Enjoyed all of it!
Lot's of brilliant memories flooding back now.
-
Shame it doesn't show the bit when Peter Withe points to his foot & says 'this is the foot!'

Thanks for posting those 2 clips up. I'd only ever seen a few seconds on an old VHS and many photos of each before. Brilliant.
-
Superb, that bus needs to come out of retirement I think.
-
Back then the Scousers were so used to winning the thing, they turned up to our victory parade by mistake: 30 seconds in you can hear them singing...
-
Cracking videos, well discovered Legion.
-
Mind you, I see our songs were just as shit then... "There's Only One [Insert Name of Every Player/Manager]" and "You'll Never Walk a" fucking "lone"?
-
Gosh I enjoyed that. Thanks, Legion.
-
littlevillain: that's Karl Moore and some mates doing the roof-top conga with their 'C/Wood Villa' flag.

Brilliant, brilliant memories.
Sadly, never to be repeated.

That is brilliant, thanks for posting.

Great footage. Yet another civic reception when we packed Victoria Square. Looking at both films, there seem to be more at the 1982 event, hardly surprising as it was a warm Friday evening.
As we dispersed at the end of the reception, we were singing that we'd be back next year. How wrong we were.
Happy memories and as I recall, the crowd had a real jingoistic vibe to it; this was in the middle of the Falklands war and many versions of Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory were sung. All were dropped when Sir Dennis and co apperared on the balcony.

We'll do well to top that when we win it next year. There must have been, at a guess... half a million there?

I'm sticking to my estimate as it sounds better!

Wonderful memories and well spotted, I was there and also the season before when Ron Saunders did his 'give us a smile' speech.
Sadly I have to agree with previous posters that it won't happen again while football is like this.
Perhaps when the 'big five' have fecked off to play in some world league, taking all there obscene money with them........

Nice to see that Leeg just what I need to cheer me up.
