Title: Preferred first XI and formation up to January

So now we know our squad up until January how do people want us to line up?

Subs: Guzan, Albrighton, Jenas, Clark, Heskey

Ultimately two of Jenas, Delph and Petrov should be picked based on form and fitness.
I would send Gardner out on loan with the option to bring him back with immediate notice.

If the players can find some confidence and avoid injuries then I think we should get 7-10 with that squad.

That's pretty much how I would line up. If Makoun were still here I might have tried him out for a couple of PL games to see how he'd cope and I might stick Jenas in place of Delph for his height depending who we are playing.

I'd go for this against weaker opposition. Away or at home to better teams I'd replace Bannan with Petrov, and play a 3 man mid, with Stan sitting behind Jenas and Delph.

For an away game I would probably replace N'Z with either Jenas or Bannan to tighten things up

  For me the strongest line up, up to Jan would be.

  Hutton             Collins               Dunne/Clark(having as many games as poss)   Warnock

                  Jenas              Delph

 Nzog/Bannan      Ireland             Gabby/Bannan

                          Bent.


 We need more of a goal threat from midfield, and with the current squad , Ireland is the only likely goal scorer.We need Ireland to come good.

Against Everton I'd go with

Given
Hutton - Collins - Dunne - Warnock
Jenas - Stan - Delph
N'Zog - Bent - Gabby

But tbh, I'd consider putting Bannan in for Delph. Everton look shite at the minute, have just lost one of their best players. We could go there and put our stamp on the game, as opposed to just playing on the counter.
