Having compared football shirt prices, I thought it was be sensible to gather the opinion on fans regarding the price of their season tickets. Are Aston Villa fans happy with the prices being charged by the club? Do you think Villa give value for money?

Aren't we one of the cheapest Premier League clubs? As for value for money...
-
From my research I would say Villa the Cheapest. Villa certainly have the cheapest adult tickets, and are competitive, Wolves have the most expensive. Albion are also cheap compared to a lot of other prem clubs, I think the midlands as a whole do charge fans quite competitively compared to say Liverpool.. £802!!

Although prices went up this year I still think my ST is good value. £520 for a great seat towards front and centre of the Upper Holte - about £27 a game. Some people point out that as a ST holder you miss out on special deals for less attractive fixtures but all in all I think it's still good value - especially compared to London clubs. Not sure how our prices compare with other Midlands clubs
-
If any Premier league club gives better value than £405 for the North Stand, I'd like to see it.

Unless you sit downstairs Dave in which case you need to factor in the cost of shin transplants
-
Compared to the rest of the Prem, Villa are very cheap, I think QPR prices have gone up 40% (rumoured) ridiculous
-
It suprises me how much The Dingles and The Baggies charge, I think they'd have to pay me to go and see that.
-
£400 to sit in the Holte End seems a very good deal when compared to other teams. Plus I can break up paying for it over 4 months means it's made even more affordable. No complaints. Especially after a romping victory this coming Saturday!

If you took the top priced season ticket for 20 years you would have nearly covered Habib Beye's salary for 2 days.

Now thats a horrific thought.

And we wonder why revenues are crap and we can't spend, spend, spend.
-
that puts it into full context, two days wages, what a joke that is.
-
Good prices for us compared to some of the lesser clubs who charge a lot more. How can the scum and dogheads charge what they do?
Also glad I was born in Aston and not in Woolwich!
-
blame the club not Beye ffs
We were daft enough to pay it
-
yeah some interesting prices, guess wolves is due to the new stand etc so less capacity in mean time but i think across the board all clubs look ok, just a bit expensive overall when compared to a few years ago, but thats inflation for you!
-
Is the Lower North still about £250 ??

And a periscope so you can see because nobody sits!

We seem to be one of the cheapest in the league I think our ST prices are reasonable compared to other teams so I wont be moaning when I see other teams prices for ST.
-
Fuck me £1800 for a seat at the Arsenal
For that much i would want to play in the game not watch it
-
I pay £550 for mine in the holte. The guy next to me has just retired and gets his as cheap as!! Think it was just under £300. That's a bargain! Can't wait until I retire.... Only another 35 years to go.
-
I think mine is £405 in the Lower Holte. Two seats to the right and it would be an extra £75.

Just flashed up on my Facebook page that we've broken through the 20,000 barrier for ST sales. How much down is that on last year?

Around 5,000 possibly?
No problems with Cup Final tickets this season then.

20k is VERY low, no surprise mind.
We're heading for a sub 30k gate this season, and it's not down to our comparatively low ST prices.

I think it's around 1000 down on the same time last year. Given the state of the economy and rising unemployment it seems a decent effort.

I agree Chris.

I think we had more than 21k season ticket holders last season.

In total? Don't we shift a good few half season tickets around Christmas?
-
I thought we had 27k ST holders last season. I don't know how many of those were half season tickets, but surely not 6k.
I reckon we'll have a sub 30k crowd this season.

I have a recollection of seeing a table with ST sales for all clubs and thought ours was around 21k.
-
27,000 was the year before last.
I think last season we were at about 24,000.
