Not to be confused with The H&V Predictions League (http://www.heroespredictions.co.uk/pdl/index.php?cmd=table).
The Football League season is about to start, and the Scottish League has already started.

Crawley not to get promotion to league one, theyll storm it.Villa to finish below last seasons place with a full season of bent? i reckon 7th
-
At the moment I think we will finish 7th or 8th (providing we don't have an injury like last season). But with time still left before the transfer window closes, i'm still hopeful that a certain Mr Messi and a few other signings will arrive and push us on to 5th place.
-
I'll just try my hand at the premiership I think...We might be more consistent but we'll do very well to manage a top half finish. Arsenal and Spurs could be on the cusp of a decline after this season and it'll be up to clubs like villa to build a platform from which to be replacing them in that top six within a couple of seasons....I've been kind to Everton there. I think the clubs from 7th to 12th won't be separated by many points. I expect the gap from 6th to 7th will be a fairly wide one.

cd - make your mind up about Stevenage as well!
At least I know that Barnet aren't in the FA Trophy! Anyway, who's worse... the idiot, or the person that copies and pastes the idiot?
I've amended Stevenage, replaced with Creepy Crawley.

I can't believe no one has gone for small heath winning the Europa League.
-
I can't believe no one has gone for small heath winning the Europa League.
Maybe if Bottlers Arsenal get knocked out of the European Cup they could draw them. Might have a chance then.
-
Think we'll finish around 12th. The odd flirt with danger, but nothing too serious. Lots of 0-0 and 1-1 draws, with the odd 1-0 win against shit teams to keep us safe.
-
Why does everybody think Rochdale will go down?
They flirted with the play-offs last season.

Villa 8th and League Cup Semi, Man Utd to win it, Brighton to come up via the play off's, PSG to win league 1, Dortmund to retain Bundesliga, Malaga 3rd in Spain.
-
Intuitively I thought we might be bottom half. But when I actually looked at the clubs in the league I thought we'd finish somewhere in the 8-12 mark providing we don't get too many injuries. I think Newcastle and Bolton may struggle this year.
I think all 3 of the promoted sides will be bottom 5.

Why does everybody think Rochdale will go down?
They flirted with the play-offs last season.
I must say my research was somewhat minimal/non-existant. "Rochdale" just sounds like a team that should struggle!

I love the scientific approach.
-
Some fecking optimism on here. 12-14th for Villa. Arsenal, Citeh, Chelsea, United top 4. 3 shit teams to go down. Liverpool 6th and highly comical when Carroll gets banged up for GBH, Gerard only plays about 6 games and Downing ends the season on a fluffy pink cushion on the bench, next to Joe Cole.

I don't think you made any predictions last year. Not unless there was more than one predictions thread which seems quite likely.

So overall then, not to bad in the Prem apart from overrating Small Heath and West Ham and underrating West Brom everyone was within a place or two.
Utter gash outside the Prem. Particularly my achievement in having two different predicted Champions finish bottom of their leagues. Ah well.

To win the prem you have to finish above Scumbag United - the only credible team i see to do that is Man City
I think Spurs will do their usual and sell Modric on the last day for big bucks with no time for balloon head to buy - Balloon head will explode and i think it will be a great big sulk from the likes of Chimp head and VDV
Arsenal i think could be in free fall - their fans are even more fickle than ours and i think Wengers time is almost up
Chelsea - feel will concentrate too much on CL and the manager will struggle with the prem intensity
Wigan / Blackburn / Bolton could all find themselves really struggling with the new comers to be relegated
Newcastle and Everton to have piss poor seasons - Necastle because they just love to implode and Everton because they cannot keep competing year in year out on effort alone and no new players
Us baring serious injuries i think we will be suprised and a few decent loanees might join before the end of the window and i think we will have a flirt with the cups (I am sure AM will take them more seriously than the last 2 gits) and a boringly predictable 7-14 prem place
Our average gate to be around 28 - 30 mark which is as much a measure of peoples loss of interest as it is the current financial situation
Probably the first season where i have no pre start excitement or enthusiasm
Pretty sad really

Premiership - Chelski
Relegation - Newcastle, Norwich, Swansea (with Wolves trying to get in there)
Surprise of the season - Liverpool are actually good (grrrrr)
Villa Cup runs - lucky to reach Quarter Finals of either
-
I reckon Villa will win the League Cup. I feel it in my water.
-
my tip for a worse season than expected goes to Liverpool,
i think/hope it could all come falling down on Dalglish's head, dont like his buys, but will admit he has a strong forward line in Carrol and the other argie fella.
his midfield is weak, especially with an ageing and injury prone Gerrard, his defense is crap, worse than ours even,
and if they think Downing is the man to launch them into the top 4, then they are dreaming.
i dont reckon they will be much better than us if at all
dont think they will make the top 4, and will struggle [again] to even make europa.
anyway here's to hopeing
-

I hope you're right. Would love us to get our hands on some silverware. Fifteen years is too long for a club our size!
