Anyone know when they'll be out? Bent tweeted yesterday saying he hoped to get the #9 shirt today.
Don't know if that means Ireland's moving to #8 or #7.
-
Ireland will be 223 I hope.
-
just cannot see ireland working, no matter who the manager is!
-
Maybe...
Given 1.
Makoun 4.
Dunne 5.
Albrighton 7.
Ireland 8.
Bent 9.
Agbonlahor 10.
Downing 11. (or whatever he has a Liverpool, the c**t)
-
Would like Bent to have number 9.
-
Makoun chose 17 as a nod to Marc Vivien Foe. Can't see him letting go of that.
I'm thinking:
1 - Given?
4 - Clark
7 - Ireland
8 - Delph
9 - Bent
10 - Albrighton
Maybe?
-
Ireland can have 8, as in section fucking 8.
-
9 for Bent.
Ireland ?.....666.
-
Given our great history of Villa number 9's (Hampton, Waring, Ford, Hitchens, Gray, Withe etc) it was a mistake to give it to Ireland in the first place, even if he had turned out to be an effective player. Bent is in the true tradition of Villa centre forwards, so next season: BENT 9
-
9 is now free after Ireland requested his number be changed to a picture of a car... quibble.
-
10-NZogbia
-
7 - Albrighton
9 - Bent
-
Bent still 39 and Ireland still 9 - why??
-
I think they're still last season's numbers Woz, I'd have expected a proper announcement when the new squad numbers come out.
-
N'Zogbia should get 7.
-
10 - N'Zogbia
-
Don't think it's worthy of a new thread, but looking at the players we have at the moment we are tight on the 25 man squad ruling with some of our "youngsters" now over 21 years old.
Guzan
Marshall
Dunne
Clark
Cuellar
Collins
Warnock
Young
Beye
Lichaj
Lowry
Makoun
Petrov
Bannan
Downing
Herd
Hogg
Delph
Ireland
Albrighton
Agbonlahor
Heskey
Bent
So that is 23 players there, and there are another couple in the reserves (Parish & Roome)
-
Ireland has number 7 and Bent 9?

Thats what Ireland is saying on the OS so guess it must be true.

Does it help if we swop Guzan for Siegrist...........
-
Players under 21 do not need to be registered.
So you could unregister Guzan, but of course we'd then be paying him for absolutely nothing at all.
I expect a few of them players (Lowry, Herd, Hogg) will find themselves out on loan. Add to that any players we can (hopefully) get rid of.
-
Don't home grown players count differently, irrespective of age? I thought they wouldn't constitute the same 'score' as say a petrov

Nope.
25 man squad not including those under 21 of whom we can use as many as we like.

If these three have to go out on loan again it does raise the question of whether they are really good enough.
Re player offloads - I cannot imagine Heskey being in our squad come August 13th.
-
Ireland is 7, replacing Ashley Young; sublime to ridiculous.
