Hayes to quick for Klitschko, you can't win a fight if you can't land one on your opponent

Valuev and Ruiz landed plenty on Haye. Wlad is x10 the puncher either of them is. I hope Haye knocks him out but i dont see it. Hope im wrong though.

valuev never landed a good clean punch on haye, if he did Haye would of been in a wooden box
ruiz, big fat yank need i say more,
its hard to land a clean punch on a guy who moves as quick as haye does...

Valuev isn't a big puncher. He landed a shit load of jabs against a running Haye. Ruiz was old and shot when they fought and still managed to land. Haye has been knocked out clean remember by an old journeyman and down a few times.

Can't see Haye going past the 4th. In that he will absolutely go for it from the off and run the legs off Klitschko. He'll look to take him out in the 4th, the 5th at a push. The longer it goes the more it will go in Klitschko's favour as Haye will tire. but I can see Haye being too quick and taking Klitschko out.

Prediction K.O in the 4th. Haye the undisputed Heavy Weight Champion.

Don't remember Valuev landing anything tbh.  I think Ruiz landed a lot because they didn't really trouble Haye and he didn't mind taking a few to try and finish Ruiz off.  Haye hits hard though - see the way he floored Ruiz right at the start, or the punch that had Valuev wobbling ... Valuev, who I think has never been sent down.

Haye needs to tag him early, a la Corrie Sanders, or it won't happen I reckon.  But the good thing about this fight is I can imagine a whole host of things happening, from Wlad knocking him out with his first punch, to Haye hitting and running and losing on points (Germany - see Macklin just last week), to Haye winning early, and I have no idea which is most likely.

I've backed Haye to win between rounds 7-9.

If it goes the distance Haye doesn't stand a chance with the judges so got to wear him out in the first 6 rounds and then go in for the kill

Simples... oh and 11/1 with most high street bookmakers!

Without staking anything on it Haye is fighting a top quality heavy weight for the first time and will lose easilly.Although the heavy weight division is a bit shit Haye is in no way a heavy weight and could have forged an unbeatable career at a lighter weight such as cruiser weght.

He was world champion until he got too heavy for the division.

I'd love it if Haye wins, but he really will have to either knock him out or stop him because he won't get the decision if it goes to points.

Will be intresting to see how Klitschko reacts to a fighter who throws some big punchs rather than just stands & eats his jab for 12 rounds.

I shall be streaming the fight whilst at work.  Afterwards I will be taking a bloody revenge on the person who staffed me in for a Saturday night.

Klitschko in the 8th or 9th for me.  He is a lot more mobile and athletic than given credit for.

Completely disagree.  Klitschko comes across as far more affable and articulate than Haye.

Whilst true that a lot of the shite that Haye talks is intended to sell the fight / get to Klitschko, quite a bit of it shows an ugly arrogance and lack of dignity.

I don't think Ali ever made comments about hospitals or wore T-shirts with decapitated heads on them.

I agree that Boxers have to appear extremely confident, but you can do that without making yourself look an absolute prick, such as Haye has done.

No, all Ali did was call Frazier (a man who lobbied for Ali's renewed boxing licence) a gorilla and an Uncle Tom repeatedly.

I really can't comment on ali tbh, from what I been told he was the biggest head in the game with a toungue nearly as big as his ability, but its all about perception I guess!
I don't think haye has, I think he's been clever, not bringing his belt to the table when klitchko did was good, he publicises himself well and yeah I admit he comes across as arrogant, I genuinly think its part of his game though. But its all about perception as I said

choose a 2 month account and use the code SHA2011

£2.40 for 2 months instead of £6

I used the site all last season, you get every prem/spanish game etc. too and pretty every sport that ends up on tv

I'd pay the 6 quid tbh if i needed too, so worth it

£2.40 for a great stream of all sports events for 2 months(including the fight tonight).

I've bought it, vouch for it working. Got it hooked up to 32" TV right now and it looks great.

Will be watching Copa America on it too. Better value than Villa Streams (who are charging £1.99 for one day access).

39 - 38 Klitschko

I'm not sure how Haye can do anything here. Klitschko just holds him off with the jab or wraps him up or pushes Haye to the floor if he gets close. I don't know how you can beat a big fecker like this.

97-94.

Klitschko by virtue of the dodgy count if nothing else. 107-103

Only a KO will do and you can't see that happening.
Title: Re: HAYE V KLITSCHKO

Haye cannot get near him because his reach is too long, and his defence too strong. He has gotten desperate trying to throw big bombs, which are clearly not landing. The fight finishes and goes to points he has lost.
Title: Re: HAYE V KLITSCHKO
Post by: Dave Cooper please on July 02, 2011, 11:16:57 PM
Nope, Haye meets his match.
He's right, the Klitschko's have killed the heavyweight division, they are very boring fighters but why should they care, they keep winning and no one can find a way to stop them.

Nice try but finally his size has counted against Haye.

One thing I'll say, he's probably done as well as most opponents have.

Yep. I salute Haye for trying to do something about easily the most turgid weight division in boxing currently, but he's just not big enough.

Haye claiming he has a broken toe and couldn't push off his right foot.

Awful fight.
Good heavyweight fights really are a thing of the past.

Hayes tactics were very similar to the Valuev fight.

Problem was that, allied to Klitschko's height and weight advantage, he is also a technically skilled boxer.  Hayes best chance was to get him early.

Didn't look like a knockdown in the 11th, but Haye bought it on himself by flinging himself to the ground every time they broke, hoping to con the ref into taking points away.

would any one try and fight with a broken toe? Why then did he and his camp keep saying he was in great shape, i think he has taken the money and run-wanker

Boxing by the numbers from Wlad. Dull, dull, dull.

No wonder the heavyweight division is so moribund with this guy as the champ. Haye has to take some of the blame, he never worried Klitschko, swung violently to no effect and made himself look daft after all the big talk.

Yep, over hyped but hardly a decent punch landed.

Hopefully the boxing on tonight will be better. I always like Ricky Burns fights, and it'll be interesting to see Kevin Mitchell come back after his failed title shot of last year.

It promises to be a corker although Mitchell should have had another fight first.
