Just been announced - http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/16062011/2/wembley-stage-champions-league-final-2013.html
Looks like at least we'll get a decent allocation when McCleish wins it for us.

So they have it again only 2 years later - but as no club plays there maybe an idea just to make it there every year as its club neutral - oh and my office is on Wembley way - now olympic way so always have got a parking space if ever we do make it !!!

Best to start saving for the tickets now then.

Strange decision. Unless you follow my (somewhat paranoid) thinking that UEFA want to bury the FA Cup Final once and for all.

Got a grand stored in the bank, so I'm already halfway there.

There you go, McLeish - if that's not a target, nothing is!
Go on, prove the 99% of us who don't think you're good enough wrong. Go on, go on, go on.
I'm holding my breath now......

UEFA must have been pleased with wembley hosting it this season to give it to them again.

You took the words out of my mouth as I was about to post almost exactly this!
-
It should certainly never be at Old Trafford or The San Siro or The Bernabeau - basically any venue that could give a likely finalist home advantage.
-
So that'll be three seasons in a row when the FA Cup Final will be f*cked over.
Please would members of the FA please form an orderly queue if they want to be responsible for banging the last nail in the coffin of their own once-great competition.
-
Another large, stuffed brown envelope for Mr Platini.
-
We won't be complaining when we're there against Barca!!
-
wont hear much complaining from the fa now?
i would hazard a guess that there wont be undercover newspaper reporters and panorma programmes about bribes etc etc
-
Has this ever happened before, the same venue is host twice in three years?
-
0% Villa. Jesus wept!

Apparently the final this year is the biggest money spinner UEFA have ever had, by some distance, so they're sending it there again, on the pretence that it is about the FA's 150th anniversary, and definitely not about absolutely coining it in again.
I'm a bit disappointed, really, though. I'd have preferred a trip to the Nou Camp or somewhere to see Eck's boys lift the big cup again, but a home draw isn't too bad

Was it Nev on here who said the Champions League had eaten the League Cup, the UEFA Cup and the FA Cup was next on its list?

When UEFA pick a host stadium they have a few key criteria. Firstly, the stadium has to be easily accessible from Switzerland.Secondly the host city should have excellent hotels and restaurants and a repuation as a world class destination to keep the delegates amused.Thirdly the stadium should have as big a capacity as possible because they keep the gate money. Fourthly the possibility that the Stadium should offer a home game for the finalist counts against it, but is not a deal-breaker if the other criteria are met.
Wembley/London scores higher than any other stadium in that checklist. Apparently serious consideration is being given to offering it to Wembley on a bi-annual basis.

The UEFA cup is it's own worst enemy, isn't it something like 26 games to win it? It need slimming down - just make it a basic knock out comp.
