I hate to say it but I'm thinking 10th to 17th. Hope to God I'm wrong.
The future's not bright, it's ginger and sweaty.
-
I'll wait till nearer the start of the season before predicting this.
-
8th is ours.
-

I agree. We need the manager confirmed and then see what the transfer dealings are before you can judge this fully.
That having been said, I went 6th-10th.
-
oh god
-
Would be handy to know who our manager is and what players will be in the squad before predicting anything...so I'll go for anywhere between 6th and 17th at the moment.
-
6th or 7th.
-
We don't even know for definite who the manager is yet nor who we play first up!
-
If it is as expected McLeish then i reckon the board will give him a good transfer kitty.7th or 8th alongside Everton.
-

Yeah I know! No need to be so serious. Thought I'd put it up now so when the manager is sorted (not long now!)could see how the voting changes.

Top Six. We're going to have a season like that crazy one with O'Leary where we nearly scraped into fourth.
-
Assuming it's McLeish in charge I've gone 10th-17th and think we'll end up lower/mid-table. The top 7 will probably be the same teams as last year but maybe in a different order with Everton off to a better start than usual. Think Wolves, Wigan and Blackburn will struggle. Newcastle have lost Carroll and Nolan, and probably Barton and Enrique, so they'll struggle too. God knows how QPR, Swansea and Naarrich will do. That leaves us scrapping with the Fulhams/Stokes/Boltons/Sunderlands and Albions of the league for 8th-13th. That's assuming McLeish can manage to get us to score more than his average of less than a goal a game. If he can't I fear the worst. Depressing, mid-table mediocrity at best.
-
Somewhere in the top 10, I think there's gonna be a lot of teams having naff seasons:
Newcastle; Swansea; QPR; Wolves; Blackburn; Wigan; Norwich; Sunderland; Fulham; Stoke etc.
-
Think Fulham will do well with Jol in charge tbh.
-
Don't think we will be relegated, but it will take years to undo the damage of his appointment on and off the pitch.
-
Unfortunately I see a season of fans fighting amonst each other, players not wanting to be hear and a manager and baord who standby an watch as they don't have a clue what to do.
I have today put £50 on us being relegated @25/1
-
15th for me and not a sign of optimism.
-
we're doomed. I'll go for 21st.
-
1st, 102 points. But I predict 1st place every season.
-
We'll be relegated before Halloween but then rally after Christmas and stay up on the final day. We'll also go on a mad run in the Simod Cup, drawing Blackburn in each round, until we lose against a Paul Kerr-inspired Boro in the semis.
-
I'm setting my sights much lower for next season. 8th.
-
I'll wait till nearer the start of the season before predicting this.
Me too, no good saying were I think we will finish before I know who we have brought in to manage us and what players we buy.
-
We'll walk the league.
-
14th
-
7th or 8th.
No higher than 6th, no lower than 10th.
-
9th i think,be happy with that after the summer we are having so far!
-
We will start in second place and build from there.
-
15th and bored shitless.
-
We'll walk the league.
Which is just aswell because we won't be playing football in it......
16th and done well at that.
-
If its Mcleish then relegation battle for sure!!
4-5-1, No wingers, Barry Ferguson in midfield, Liam Ridgewell at the back and Jerome up front!!!
Bent gone, Makoun gone, Downing gone, Albrighton and Bannan loaned out to championship clubs!
No flare, no passion, no good! Mid table dreamers is all we can hope for.
Would you want to play for a team who the fans are just waiting to jump on the manager at every opportunity.
We might win the first 6 games! Top of the league, lose the next 2 and Mcleish will get abuse.
What a waste of time! Hope it all falls through!

Lot in this, i think you will see the demise of Bent and then gone in Jan, Young and Downing will go now, I think despite Gabby's loyalty he will go because McLiesh will not get him, in fact even less than Houllier did, and just a point here on Gabby, it will hurt Villa fans a lot more not seeing him bouncing around Villa park than probably any other player that goes IMO, wait and see, pivitol moment.
Players like Albrighton won't fulfill there promise, where's the next keeper coming from.
Personally I think just a short period from now the Villa side will look a lot differant.
-
Sorry but if this appointment is pushed through I can't see anything other than relegation.
After that I think we'll 'do a Leeds / Notts Forest' and sink like a stone. And for anyone who has fond memories of the '70's and watching Villa play in front of 63,000 fans in the Third Division, you can dream on if you think it'll be anything like.
Football has changed beyond all recognition since then. The Premier League is everything and most of our supporters simply won't have the stomach for a long spell in the lower leagues.
If it turns out I'm totally wrong, feel free to give me stick about this prediction when we reach safety. No one will be happier than me to be proven wrong.

Bottom 3 til xmas, McLeish sacked, Cowans in charge til end of season
end up 14th.
Simples??
-
Mid table.
-
7th or 8th.
No higher than 6th, no lower than 10th.
Yep. That is how I see it going down. We will be bored out of our mind.

Balls. He absolutely loves Gabby. He tried to get him to play for Scotland before he went to Blues and always speaks highly of him.

We might even see Gabby playing ahead of Bent.
-
Struggling.
-
69. Oh! League position.
Between 6th & 9th.
-
7th, much to the disappointment of the drama queens.
-
We might even see Gabby playing ahead of Bent.
If he does that he may aswell hand he resignation in right now!
-
We'll walk the league.

Good shout.
