Title: STAN HAS GIVEN ME MY MOST JOYOUS VILLA MOMENT
Post by: fitzy on June 14, 2011, 07:52:21 PM
Lets forget about whats happening at the moment, what will be will be. Lets face it we are small fry in any decision making process by the club, and I for one don't want to linger on the current situation, and hope it will be lost to distant memory.

Which leads me nicely ( I hope), to joyous Villa moments that are very rarely mentioned. My moment, and on reflection my most joyous Villa moment in 35 years of watching the boys, came in Big Rons first game in charge, against Wednesday, from 2 nil down, Stan pops up and nets the third in a 3-2 win. I dont think I have ' LOST IT' so much as on that occasion.

Has anyone got any other memories that are very rarely mentioned, in favour of the usual Withes shin, the demolition and that first half against the Scousers.

I'm pretty sure the Holte End was seating when we beat them 7-1! ;)

Favourite Staunton moments - aside from the Hillsborough game -  for me are the winner at Coventry in the last few minutes of the game 1996, his opening day goal vs QPR 1993 and of course that goal vs Man Utd 1993.

April 1975 when it seemed as if half of Birmingham had descended on Hillsborough to see us win 4-0 and secure promotion back to the first division. What a night that was.

Out of sheer relief Gabby's goal at West Ham last season is high on my list.

Can't believe this thread becomes a 'things I remember best about Steve Staunton' thread. How about: - I remember when he fucked us along for twelve months then shat on us from a great height? I remember that fucker which sadly deleted my previously fond memories of him at Hillsborough and OT - TOSSER!!!!!!!!!
Title: Chris Nichol

Leicester City 2 - 2 Aston Villa
Chris Nichol, centre half and captain, scores ALL 4 goals.
Definately a "What the Heck" game
