May do.

Went a couple of years ago and it was a good night - Carbone looked good enough to still be in the first team !

Shame he's not playing this year.

I took the family a couple of years ago, it's a good night out for the kids. You just have to remember that although it could be Villa v Blues it is meant to be a fun event. I think the missus had to remind me about that a couple of times.

Blimey, the misfits (Wrighty, Tayles and Tony excluded) of circa 99-2003. A pity Najwan Ghrayib wasn't unearthed from wherever he went to. Actually, I got talking to an Israeli fella in Barcelona recently about football and when he heard I was a Villa fan he asked me had we any Israeli's down the years. When I mentioned Ghrayib his face lit-up. ''Great player, very tall, left footed and fast. But he had bad injuries in England.''

I said I had always wanted Haim Revivo to join us after he and his Celta Vigo side kicked the shit out of us at Villa Park in Nov'98, soon after we had that bloody team photo taken at the Dell where we had just gone 12 games unbeaten to the start of the season.
Revivo went to Turkey, won the league with Fenerbache but according to this fella, left to join Galatasaray for an obscene amount of money and went back home a year later where he returned soon after.

A few of us went last year and it was a good night so we'll probably go along again.

He did'nt, he sat on the bench for us whilst he was on loan from Smethwick during a goalkeeping crisis, under Gregory i think

Thanks for clearing that up Clampy; I've been a Villa fan for 30 odd years I had never bloody heard of him!

Yeah, Crichton's inclusion most be the most tenuous of that of any player playing in any old-pros competition in the world, ever. Even Neil Cutler played a bit.
