Title: Villa fans are the best....AGAIN!
Post by: Desi on May 20, 2011, 07:15:56 AM
WE DID IT!

A huge thank you to all my fellow Villans (and I'm sure from all supporters in Oz.).

The fans have spoken ... and Fox Sports has listened. These are the matches you told us to broadcast live on the final day of the 2010-2011 Barclays Premier League season.

Barclays Premier League Final Day.
Which match do you most want to see broadcast live on Fox Sports?

Aston Villa v Liverpool
15.03%
Bolton Wanderers v Manchester City
12.28%
Everton v Chelsea
11.05%
Fulham v Arsenal
6.08%
Manchester United v Blackpool
12.4%
Newcastle United v West Bromwich Albion
6.55%
Stoke City v Wigan Athletic
7.95%
Tottenham Hotspur v Birmingham City
13.1%
West Ham United v Sunderland
3.1%
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Blackburn Rovers
12.46%

During the week, we conducted an outrageously popular poll asking you which of the 10 simultaneous matches you most wanted to see live - with the top five polling games shown live on Monday from 12.55am (EST) on Fox Sports 2HD and Fox Sports 2.

The highest polling match, which will be the Fox Sports main game, was Aston Villa v Liverpool.

The following four games will be shown as part of Fox Sports Viewers Choice via the red button: Tottenham Hotspur v Birmingham City, Wolverhampton Wanderers v Blackburn Rovers, Manchester United v Blackpool and Bolton Wanderers v Manchester City.

But wait, there's more.
Lots of you told us it would be something of a tragedy if Stoke City v Wigan Athletic wasn't shown live, with Wigan's top-flight status hinging on the outcome of the game.

The clash attracted only 7.95 per cent of the vote, but we agree it should be shown live - so that is what we're going to do!

In addition to the five games shown on Fox Sports 2, Stoke City v Wigan Athletic will be broadcast live on Fox Sports News (channel 513).

And when full-time is blown, Fox Sports will be providing live coverage of the trophy presentation to Manchester United.

So as the battles for top-flight survival and spots in Europe take place across England, tune into Fox Sports for a huge night of Barclays Premier League action.

Thanks to all who voted and got involved.

THANKS AGAIN.

I 2nd Desi in saying a big thanks to all who took the time to help by voting, In all honesty I didn't think we would be a chosen game but as soon as it was opened up for a vote I knew with all the bindippers here and your help we would get to watch the game live.

Beer in the fridge, day off work Monday, Villa win and Bluescum relegated! what could be better?

Well done to campaign manager Desi, you got my vote. Everything crossed now for the filth to disappear for a few years, or preferably forever.

Are scousers that big down under?

You might want to re-phrase that.
Darling.

Are scousers that big down under?

There like a fucking plague North of the river Perth, Simon.

Everywhere you go you hear that screeching awful sound of their woman and the males have even higher pitch, scallies the lot of them!

One of the things I have really enjoyed about this is no matter what evidence that I have shown to the Cockney red (claims he's no glory hunter, hahaha) at work he still has bet me that no way will the Villa game be the main live game shown as they (Foxtel) will change the schedule to show the champions, how I'm looking forward to taking his $10 when I see him Tuesday.

Are scousers that big down under?

If I meet one more Aussie claiming to be the biggest, bestest Liverpool fan that's never set foot in the UK, I'll probably shoot myself in the face.
