As we get half-way through the penultimate weekend of the season, Blues seem to be in a very precarious position,
GP PTS
15 Blackburn 37 40
16 Wolves 37 40
17 Birmingham 36 39
-------------------------------------------
18 Blackpool 37 39
19 Wigan 36 36
20 West Ham 36 33
If blues fail to overcome Fulham at the Sty tomorrow, then things could get very tricky for the 'noses, particularly if Wigan beat West ham, which could put Blackpool, Blues, and Wigan all joint on 39 points in 17th, 18th, and 19th going into the last day.
Last day fixtures:
Wolves - Blackburn
Man Utd - Blackpool
Stoke - Wigan
Tottenham - Blues
For me, Blues would have the hardest time, as United and Stoke will have nothing in particular to play for, whereas Spurs will be battling for 5th place. Though meanwhile Wolves and Blackburn, who are going to be joint on 40 points play each other, furthering the complications.
Going to be a very interesting last day, and here's to hoping the all mighty League Cup champions are playing second tier football next season.
-
Dissagree, we are mor precarious than small Heath, hate to say it but it's true
-
Interesting that you haven't factored in the team in 14th place there Chipsticks !!
-
I think they'll beat Fulham tomorrow.
-
Interesting that you haven't factored in the team in 14th place there Chipsticks !!
Thought that we'd had enough of "pack your bags and pull out the map to Doncaster" mentality on here :P
Plus, I'm fairly certain we won't go down, unless the footballing gods hate us as much as we think think they do.
-
So your prediction for arse and pool
-

I think we'll draw both.

Hope your right chipsticks

How are we more precariously placed than them?

Agree with Paulie - three points ahead of the Noses, and both of us with fixtures as tricky as each other. You may say Fulham and Tottenham have nothing left to play for. Reminds me of Arsenal and Liverpool.
-
Because of our last two games
-
We are safe!
We could only go down on goal difference and the most unlucky set of results ever.
-
Shrek, why don't you state the bleeding obvious
-
Without wanting to sound all Kevin Keegan, I would love it if Blues went down. It wouldn't make up for our own shit season, but it'd give me some kind of small nugget of satisfaction.
As for the ridiculous suggestions that we could go down, really? Don't be daft.
-
Shrek, why don't you state the bleeding obvious
I don't think I could be any more obvious.

I'm not a mod or anything, but less of that please.
We're all friends here.

Less of that, please.

Am I right in thinking that if Wigan don't take maximum points and don't better us by 10 goals over the last two games then we are safe ??? West Ham can't catch us. As Wolves are playing Blackburn next week, whatever the result, one of them can't catch us so we could be safe tomorrow. Of course it would all be academic if we nicked a point at Arsenal but I can't really see that happening.
-
Spot on clarrie
-
I think Blues will stay up on goal difference. Fingers crossed Spurs have a good day next week
-
Cheers mate. That has made me feel a little more confident as it was a bad day for all the non-playing strugglers. Only Blackburn didn't win but they managed to get an unexpected point really.
-
Cant believe people have started this thread.
think we should be more interested if we are going down, not the Blues
We are 3 points from Blackpool, who have Man U next week. That is Man U who have already won the league and will have the Champions League final 7 days later.
They put half a reserve side out today knowing they needed a result, never mind next week - Blackpool can win that game easily.
Bluea have Fulham at home tomorrow - easily winnable game - thus level on points with us
Our saving grace is Blackburn have Wolves so I very much doubt we will go down.
But it is quite probable we will lose our last two games by a combination of around 10 goals (which in itself sums up how pathetic we are doesn't it) so before we start laughing at the Blues , lets just see how Wigan get on tomorrow shall we.
And that is how bad it is - we have to hope Wigan don't win on May 15th to make sure we stay up !
-
What a stupid thread we could end avoiding relegation on goal difference and we bothered about the in breds

-
If not beyond possibility we could get stuffed in next two games, scousers are on fire and put five past fulham and arsenal we never know what could happen
We are capable this season of getting hammered by most teams
-
We are in for another week of hell if we get tonked and Wigan win. Both eminently possible. Bookies are not taking bets on us still but I have an awful feeling the last day will not be a nice afternoon in the sun at VP.
-
Why are "some" people suddenly so sure that Blackpool are nailed on to win at Old Trafford?
Old whiskey nose has already come out and said they are well aware of how important the game is for other sides. Won't be full strength but will still be decent.
Oh and not forgetting thier home record this season...played 18, won 17, drawn 1.
-
Even if we CAN go down, this thread was supposed to be about Blues going down - I wanted a change from the negative mentality that we've had all season is all.

I can see Blackpool getting a point at OT.
The league is won, and there is the small matter of the CL final the following week.
Gollum will have his teams massively fired up, and fighting for everything.

As long as Wigan dont win tomorrow, that's all that matters.
Of course I'd love the lose to go down, but whatever will be, will be.

I know where you are coming from but they are just too professional not to care..This may come back to haunt me but I can see Blackpool going for it and getting royally twatted as a result.

'We can still finish eight!'
Is something Crapallister is probably spouting.

Noses win a cup, Could finish above us and are in europe , we got knocked out of the cup probably finish in bottom 4 and we got peace cup to look forward to!

I thought you didn't give a flying fuck about them?
-
We wont go down i'm really sure about that and i don't think Small Heath will either.
-
Arsenal and Liverpool both have something to play for. Arsenal to secure third ahead of Citeh and avoid CL qualifiying round, and possibly overhaul Chelsea for second. Liverpool will want to secure the Europa League place ahead of Spurs, who therefore also have something to play for. Fulham don't. which maybe gives Blues more chance of beating Fulham than we have of getting a point anywhere. Which could bring it down to goal difference between us.
-
There's so much prize money at stake and the table so tight that everyone has something to play for.
-
Twat shrek
Your post says it all.
You make a sarcastic comment on my post, I do the same and I'm a twat? Hmm.
-
Liverpool will want to secure the Europa League place ahead of Spurs, who therefore also have something to play for.
If Liverpool win tomorrow they will have secured that position before we play them. Still couldn't see us beating there kids mind unless we play our own.
-
Small Heath going down would be the only positive on a shite season. I can see them getting a point tomorrow though and I cannot see Blackpool getting anything at Old Trafford, so they'll stay up.
-

Stop being so negative, there are positives to be found even this season:
The purchase of Darren Bent
The emergence of a number of very good young kids
The conclusive proof that Randy still has his cheque book open
All matter to me a lot more than whether the chavs down the road are travelling to man utd or doncaster next year.
-
Us finishing below the Albion and potentially SHA and the Dingles cannot be tempered by anything. Its been total shite
-
So your prediction for arse and pool
My prediction is that sounds like a Michael Barrymore party!
-
Yeah. Post of the year.
-
It's only May, Mac. Have I won football writers post of the year?
-
Carefree Man Utd second XI v Must win plucky Blackpool.
4-0 to the champions.
-
Although Blackpool won't be the first relegation threatened team to beat Manure (or one of the other big four) last day of the season when the top team has nothing to play for. West Ham for one.
-
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
That is bloody good !
Take a boo son - take a booo !!
-
Not looking good for them now.
-
Wigan winning REALLY puts them in the shit.
Wigan could well get a result away at Stoke. Can't see Blues or Blackpool getting anything on the last day.
-

This would be brilliant - the Blues are in real trouble. Stoke are full of injuries, it's been a long season and they will all be thinking about the beach they will soon be lying on. Spurs need a win to guarantee European football. If Blues don't match Wigan's result they're down unless Blackburn spank Wolves!!
What a silver lining that would be!!!
-
At least they'll have the honour of being in Europe. A fantastic achievement for a championship side.
-
I can see Blackpool getting a draw, Man Utd will be a mixture of fringe players who won't want to get injured just in case they are needed on the 28th and kids.
Stoke will be on a virtual beach, Wigan will do them.
Blues are fucked.
-
At least they'll have the honour of being in Europe. A fantastic achievement for a championship side.
*Snigger*
-
and I hope Small Heath have a very good run in Europe and lose in the final and play 46 league games they will be knackered.
-
I'm flying home on Friday for a little holiday. What a great weekend it will be if we can beat Liverpool on the same weekend the noses get relegated yet again.
If this happens I will personally write a letter to Sullivan/Brady and Gold thanking them for fucking up two teams that I really don't like.
-
I wonder if Bloos can afford to go down? Their finances are dodgy as it is. Shame....
-
Apparently they were awful today, they are in deep shit
-
It's not even really in their own hands even though they're not in the bottom three. If they win or lose by a worse margin than the same result by Blackpool, they're down.
-
I wonder if Bloos can afford to go down? Their finances are dodgy as it is. Shame....
Well according to previous press reports no. But then selling a couple of mil worth of shares allowed them into Europe somehow when that only pays the squads wages for about 2 weeks.
-

Don't be silly, they'd absolutely love that.
-

And Wigan as well because they have scored more goals so level on GD puts them above Blues.
-
Are we all Spurs fans this week?
-
Spurs should be up for it too as a win will give them the only Europa place, next weekend is going to be bloody fantastic.
-
Man Utd 3-0 Blackpool
Stoke 1-0 Wigan
Tottenham 3-0 Birmingham
That set of results will see both Blackpool and Birmingham going down.
Please make it so!
-
Sky Television would like to invite all supporters of Birmingham City Football Club to a party on the 22nd May. It is our highly popular Survival Sunday party which has been running now for a number of years. Fancy dress is optional but we usually advise black tie.

Wigan need to better the result by two goals though. They do have arguably the easiest game though, so who knows. I wouldn't want to be a Blues fan [ever, obviously] but next weekend will be absolute torture for them.

Villa to finish 9th, Wolves and Rags to go down. It could happen.
-
I've reckoned for a couple of weeks that Blackpool will get something at Old Trafford. Can't see Blues getting a win at Spurs; probably a defeat. They're going down.
-
Happy Days are here again and the Blues are going down again and the Blues are going down again, happy days are here again!
Fuck 'em, party time next Sunday!
-
How kicking will the atmosphere be knowing we're safe and Blues are in the shit? I can't wait for next Sunday now.
-
Oh I hope to God they drop. It's my number one ambition in fact.
-
I don't usually like taking pleasure in another's misery 'cos it feels a bit hollow. But I'll make an exception for that lot.
-
Anybody who likes useless stats and info like i do might be interested to know, I was at Anfield the last time we played Liverpool on the last game of the season, Blues went down thanks to a Wigan result.

Oh yes. I'll be pouring myself a large glass of Schadenfreude this time next week hopefully.
You see its not just about them getting relegated next week, its also the inevitable loss of their 2 or 3 good players, followed by a slide into administration, 15 point deduction, early exit from Europe at the hands of TNS in the preliminary round, followed by seasons of absolute obscurity.
I've seen the future and it works.

mmm I can't see Blackburn winning 2-0 away at The Dingles but otherwise 100% agreed.
-
would love to see them relegated,
but still havent got over them winning that trophy, i know people say we shouldnt care about what happens to them, but that day was one of the worst i can remember,
i know that makes me shallow and obsessed about them, but thats just the way it is, its almost sacrilege to say this but i'l be more bothered about spurs result next week that ours
-
Yes they are, they're gonna get fuck all against spurs.
Happy days.
-
They will beat Spurs - Redknob is desperate not to be in the Europa

He didnt look desperate today, winning 2-0 away against his main rivals.

So why did his team win today? Could of been all done and dusted had they lost.
-
Plus you always want to win in front of your fans for the last home game of the season no matter what.
-
My God, Fulham took the royal piss out of Blose. It could have been 10 - 0.
Blose are in big trouble.
-
I dunno, maybe the players had other ideas but Harry could easily field a weakened side to make sure instead
-
Just seen MOTD2, oh the scenes! What joy. You'd think they'd gone down today.
The writing's on the wall and they know it.
-
I dunno, maybe the players had other ideas but Harry could easily field a weakened side to make sure instead
Have you been drinking? I don't think I've ever heard anything so crazy as to suggest a team would deliberately chuck the chance of European competition, in front of their home fans, on the last day of the season, knowing that in doing so they would directly affect relegation.
It's an unfathomably ridiculous suggestion.
-
Nip over to Keeprighton. They all think the games up already.
-
I dunno, maybe the players had other ideas but Harry could easily field a weakened side to make sure instead
Will his chairman not want some type of extra revenue stream instead? Plus even the Europa would be an attraction for players next season. 5th and qualified for Europe is better then 6th and not.
And we have seen enough of 'Arrys saying one thing and doing another to not take him fully at his word.
-
An urgent rule change is required to stop relegated teams from competing in Europe if they have qualified by winning one of the cups.

Nah it will be funny watching them go out against some Polish postmen with their Fizzy Pop League squad.

But Redknapp said: ‘We are not fighting for the Europa League, we are fighting to finish fifth.
‘You want to win every game and finish as high as you can, that is your pride. It is not ideal playing Thursday and every Sunday [in the Europa League] is not what you want but we are there [at the moment].’
Hmmm... call me mad all you want, Redknapp really does not want to qualify for it.

Big Eck looks like he has given up already as do half the team. Fantastic stuff.

HAdn't thought of that. Doh

If Spurs really didn't want to finish fifth then why did they bother winning at Anfield today?
If you're going to throw a game, it's better to do it away from home against a decent team than at home against a jumped-up pub side, looks far less obvious.
-
I do hope so but knowing them they will squeak it.
-
I do hope so but knowing them they will squeak it.
They dont usually!
-
Yes, they're usually quite obliging in the whole relegation stakes.
-
Watched MOTD2 in local pub tonight and couldn't help myself when Fulham scored. Was warned to keep quiet as the Noses know what's going to happen next week. Happy days
-
What do Blose fans make of McLeish then at the moment? He delivers their first proper trophy since before most of them were born but is on the brink of taking them down. I actually think he's a decent manager.
They're not a terrible side like most relegated teams are, (i.e. the play to their strengths, decent defence, don't give goals away, combative midfield. Blunt enough attack admittedly), I'm not sure how they've managed to get into this position.
-
McLeish has build a side to be defensively strong and squeak a 1-0 win. Losing Dann this year has been a massive blow. They've not been so tight at the back and their strikers are shite. Jerome & Zigic.
Consequently they're lucky they're not already down.
-

I think Stoke play to their strengths, but watching MOTD2 last night I really did think Blues already look like a Championship side, whilst all the teams around them are capable of playing football.
-
I have watched them 3 times live this season and live on the telly on about 20 occasions and how anyone can support any area of their play I will never know. They have 3-4 quality Premier league players and the rest are has beens or dross.
The only games I can say they genuinely deserved to win are Blackpool away and The League Cup final, on both occasions playing with attacking intent from the off. The manager and his negative tactics are the problem and many of the Noses I know begrudgingly acknowledge this.
Anti- football deserving of Championship status!

I can barely remember a goal they've scored that hasn't been scrambled, a set piece, or a result of some massive defensive ineptitude.
Even when they gained promotion they were a cure for insomnia.
They're a pox on this league. They offer nothing.
-
Surely Blues fans love McLeish - possibly two trips to Wembley in two years ... well if they dont move the play off finals to Old Trafford because of the Olympics

Lowest number of goals scored in the PL this season, lowest number of shots on goal, lowest number of corners.
They wouldn't be missed.

Blues go down, Blues go down, Blues go down together.
Come back up.
Win a cup.
Go back down forever.
I really do fear for them if they go down. Yeung hasn't got a pot to piss in and they would struggle to survive as a business without PL money.
Their better players will be off regardless but if they go down they'll be in huge trouble. They may go into administration and/or freefall into league 1.
Their only hope would be another takeover and the only guy they could attract last time was a Hong Kong hairdresser pretending to be super rich.
They really do need to win that game against Spurs rather than roll over and get shafted like they did against Fulham. Good luck with that.
-
This weekend's set of results really was the 'Perfect Storm' as far as the Rags are concerned.
We just need Karma to keep it going for 90 more mins on Sunday and send those fuckers down.
-
I text 2 nose mates last night-
The answer is 1985 Norwich City-Guess the Question?????
I got back-Fuck off ;D ;D ;D

We should rub salt into the wounds & sign Foster & Dann when they go.

-
Yes, they're the two I'd have off them as well.
Might as well name some others...
From West Ham I'd take Green, Collison & Parker
From Wigan I'd have NZogbia.
From Blackpool I'd have Adam.
-
Foster and Johnson seem good honest pros to me but they are two players who will know that the only way they'll be able to get away from The Sty easily this summer is if they go down.
One half-hearted performance in the last game could make them a lot of money with a move in the summer. Bust their guts and be heroes and they could be stuck there for another year.
-
The pub I was in yesterday had 5 tv's showing the villa and one showing the scum, there were 3 deformed mutants sitting around it and everytime Fulham scored we cheered it was hilarious. When Chamak scored the header they cheered, then it got ruled out and we cheered even louder.
Classic
-
SHA will get a point and stay up, as the other two sides will only be able to equal that, I reckon.
-
The talk of a BCFC marketing blitz on the Far East including a chain of themed restaurants seemed to have gone silent anyway, but they won't even sell one shirt out there if they're not in the Premier league. Still, the gate receipts will be good for the first two games next season against MK Dons and Vlazusprrrzzzz Kakaluzzzz of Moldova.
-
I bet they dont get a point.
Whether that's still enough...
I doubt it will be though.
-
Unfortunately Blues will not be going down this season as Blackpool have to go to Man Yoo and get a point,.............that,just aint going to happen..................unfortunately.
-
What about Wigan then?
-

no.
If Bloackpool lose the Rags will still go down if they lose at Spurs and Wigan get a point at Stoke.
-
Actually all three could lose and Blose still go down - Blose lose 3-0, Wigan lose 1-0. Wigan stay up on goals scored. Is that correct?
-
Is that right Gazza?
What if Blackpool lose 1-0 and Blues lose 3-0???
-
With us no longer involved, next Sunday could be highly entertaining. I can't wait.

Actually all three could lose and Blose still go down - Blose lose 3-0, Wigan lose 1-0. Wigan stay up on goals scored. Is that correct?
Stoke 1-0 Wigan
Man Utd 1-0 Blackpool
Spurs 2-0 Blues
Would put Blues down on goals scored being a load of toss.

I stand corrected, how sweet it would be if Blackpool manage to stay up ( everyone wants that) and Blues and Wigan go down, would almost make this season bearable. Be a great answer for years to come when reminded of Blose success in the Carling cup....'yes,I remember that, didn't you also get relegated the same year?'

you are getting there slowly Gazza.
We want Blackpool and the Rags down.
Wigan can stay up.

Beat me to it. The sooner we see the back of that tedious, hypocritical west country oaf, the better.
-
Yes, I couldn't give a toss if they went down.
Not least because of that Cheese churning gobshite manager they have and his shit banter.
But mostly because Blackpool is a horrible shithole that should be used as target practice for the Navy and RAF and there are enough teams from Lancashire in the Premier League.
-
I'd like to see Blackpool go as well.
-
I would like to see Blackpool go purely because of their twat of a manager.
giving it the Big Un in January and calling us 2 bob.
He;s been very quite of late and I wonder if he still thinks Adam will go for 10 million plus
-
Just remembered Blose away in league and them singing going down my lord and the shit are going down. Oh how things have changed
And apparently, they will still have had a better season than us even if they perish
-
In a very small way, Villa winning on the last day helps Blues. For instance if we're 3-0 up at half time and Spurs are aware of this, then they know they're going to finish 5th and will have nothing to play for in the second half.. I'm aware that I'm being silly and none of this is going to happen at all.. Just thought I'd put it out there..
-
At work they're all conveniently looking the other way or deep in conversation with a filing cabinet when I walk past. They know they're fucked. Just another chapter in the absolute joy of having such a tin-pot, shambles of a club to share the city with. No matter how rubbish we are they'll always find a way to go one better.
-
Right, I've sorted it folks.
I'm the unluckiest gambler in the world so use it to my advantage. Having torn up my betting slip on the Villa to go down this weekend (placed just before the Everton game - since then we've only lost one in seven!), I've now invested a fiver in the Blues to stay up. Money well spent to eliminate any influence of lady luck.
They don't stand a chance!!!
-
I was thinking of doing that, Ad@m. I'm not a gambler at all, but if I put a fiver on Blose to stay up I'll win one way or another.
-
Blackpool and Wigan might live to regret the way they played at our place.
Blackpool stuck the reserves out when we were on the ropes a little bit at that time of the season and Wigan started off very positively and then retreated as soon they scored.
I think Wigan might be the one that stays up though.

I genuinely hope I never see that bookie again...
-
I'll claim an assist for yesterday's result then, at half time I put money on an Arsenal win or a draw, best fiver I've spent for a while.
-
It's a nice piece of comic irony that the mathematics with points and goal difference are so tight that every goal is crucial even if you lose and the away end at 'ver lane' will be full of morons who can't add up!

Shoes off if you're trying to add......
-
On the basis of liked away games even then it has to be blose. Wigan:cheap/lots of tickets, good record, ok for booze ups. Blackpool, speaks for itself if you like a good session with the lads and should win there next time. Blackburn: see Wigan. Wolves: close enough to be like a home game. Blose; expensive small allocation, can't really take your kids, no chance of going to a local pub even if they had one for away fans, get home later than man u away if we're locked in.
Please go down and change your name........you are a disgrace to this city !
-
Just to re-iterate a point made by Mazrim. If Blues do go down, such is the tenuous nature of their funding, they almost certainly will go into administration with a consequential slide to the lower divisions. Maybe we'll get them off our back for a long time to come - we can then forget them and concentrate on our beloved Villa.
-
Well said Andrew08,everything you say is true.

I had £10 at 6/1 on them to win the League Cup but I didn't feel like a winner. I would have preferred to have lost the tenner.

My brother could run you very close for that title, so I'll get him to match your bet.

Be good to see a plane flying over White Hart Lane next Sunday with a banner like ' It's a Long Long Road - UTV' as they go down !

Surely not!

I would prefer a banner reading 'Holte Enders in the Sky'

Air Ads were the company that did the Avram Grant one the weekend and they are booked to do a Premier Ground this weekend also.
-
I doubt very much you could get permission to fly an advertisement plane over WHL. In am sure that London air space is more regulated than Preston or Wigan. Besides they might stay up. I hope they don't, but they could.

6/5.
And Dave - the times are changing. Didn't Legion win in Vegas recently?!
-
I think they are doomed. Wigan will get at least point at Stoke , SHA and Blackpool will lose. Its looking like a perfect Sunday. It is a shame that we have a game and I have to be at Villa Park instead of watching the drama unfold.
-
I'm praying to God every single night that they go down. It would honestly be the best thing to happen this season. Sad but very true I'm afraid.
-
You can't be praying harder than me Des.
It would turn a shocking season into quite an amusing one.
-
If they do go down can you imagine all the fun those knuckle draggers will have with Millwall and West Ham?

...not fogetting Leeds and Cardiff if they lose out in the play offs? Oh, and Pompey too. Wonderful.

Villa to finish 9th, Wolves and Rags to go down. It could happen.
Wow! I'd just done that! Great minds... We finished 8th in mine though.

Yes, you are right. I was being much too conservative about our chances of putting 20 past the 'dippers.

I posted this on the Wigan post-match thread:
"Wolves to beat West Brom and Sunderland, draw with/lose to Blackburn
Wigan to beat West Ham, draw with Stoke
small heath lose to Fulham and Spurs.
small heath back to three divisions above where they belong."
Looking good so far.
Anybody else wishing Wigan had beat us?

Until Sunday no but now......................hell yeah!!!

I was fuming when Wolves and Blackpool won on Saturday, but delighted about it by 6pm on Sunday.
It's a funny old game and it will be fuckin' hilarious if things go the right way next weekend.
-
Please spare a thought for me.
I'll be sitting in a bar in Kos watching the drama unfold before gong back out to the beach.
-
Maz,
Hope you're gonna be ok mate?
-
The ideal scenario would be for Spurs to get a couple of early goals. Then the crowd will start buzzing, the news trickles down to the Liverpool players who lose heart and get tonked by Villa! A perfect day!

Do you honestly think that the thought of losing out on 2nd tier European football will have that much of an adverse effect on Liverpool?
I think it has more chance of spurring them on knowing that even if they win the game the wont have to worry about shortening their holiday. UEFA cup qualification is a nuisance to clubs with aspirations of a top 4 finish.

Ur not a reel fan etc. etc.

incredible isn't it?! i was watching the blackburn united game but keeping a close eye on live text and yahoo for updates from blackpool and sunderland. absolutely gutted by half two and felt we were in with a real shout of going down again.
went to arsenal praying that west ham would take something at the dw to keep us up and all was rosy come half time. incredible turnaround after the break though with wigan winning and obviously sha losing meaning that, due to our result, we were safe, and due to the other results, blues are now very likely to go down.
i hope that makes sense! it was all very complicated and amazing how you can go from wanting one result to go a certain way to wanting it to go another in the space of ninety minutes just so that it dumps your neighbours right in the brown stuff.
