Thousands of Villa fans on the Clock End waiting to celebrate that day.

Outside the ground, i remember Gordon Cowans leaning out of the Away dressing room window with a bottle of champagne.

The memory of that day makes me so proud !

You mean move on and never mention it again? No thanks.

Fantastic, lets just hope we aren't (almost) halfway through another 71 year wait.

UTV!

Brilliant day.  Just remember the sea of coaches going down the M1 that day.  Think there were over 100 from the Travellers alone, I think I was on 73 or something.   Believe that the Rugby League Challenge Cup took place at Wembley the same day and there were thousands of League fans everywhere as well, no M40 and yet we all got there on time.  Amazing !!!!

Mind, bags of trouble afterwards, I seem to remember the Police lashing out at anyone and everyone by where the coaches were parked.

Remember it well even though I was a 16 year old then. Those were the days.

How many of you can find yourselves in the photo? I've spotted myself:

The tension that day was only surpassed by 'that night' in Rotterdam the following year-

Media didn't want us to win it but we were worthy champions even if we didn't do itin
style on the last day-

To this day I can't understand why I volunteered to drive the mini bus ........we must
have stopped at every other pub on the way home along the A5 -

Spoke with Ken McNaught at Blackpool away this season and got his autograph on the
photo taken in dressing room - we had chuckle that he was the only guy with clothes on!

For the day that's in it I think this thread should be on the main page.
