Yea i'm calling you out...
I remember back when we signed Bent you were on a local news channel (some North-East one, can't remember) with another Sunderland fan who was flaming Bent, was convinced Sunderland would finish sixth and thought we'd still go down... maybe you could send him a nice text this evening to see how he's doing? ;D
Oh how I love reminding myself of how much of a 'panic buy' Bent was from half-wits on Sky and how Torres to Chelsea was a 'fantastic' signing for Chelsea.
-
Fair play to him, off camera he was okay. He said he didn't like Villa because his girlfriend supported Small Heath which makes it double good.
-
Scored more than Torres, Carroll, and Suarez put together.
I personally send a massive 'fuck you' to every sports presenter, pundit, broadcaster, or fan who claimed it was a panic buy and that he wouldn't pay off.
-
I just hate the fact that he is still classed as £24 million buy. It was £18 mil plus addons and yes, in the end he might cost £24mil but no other player seems to be valued on extras.
-
To be fair, he could reply that we bought our way out of trouble and still nearly fucked it up. Bents goals are the reason we are (hopefully) out of it, and the reason they are not still in the european places.

Lets have more "panic" buys, please!
Had a bostih' day out round Southwark and London Bridge! There's some seriously good boozers in old Larndon tarn! Three cheers for the RAF - huzzah, huzzah, huzzah! Toodle pip!
-
It will teach Steve Bruce for saying he can't understand why bent would leave a club chasing Europe for a relegation battle- the cream always rises brucie!
-
Unlikely I know but it would be sweet if both sunderland and blackpool came a cropper after all the beef earlier in the season.

If Blackpool sacked Holloway and they then sold Charlie Adam for £15mil, would the Gollum still be entitled to his 20%?
-
Market Porter, Wheatsheaf, Southwark Tavern (?) and a German bierkeller called Katzenjammer - nice!!
-
If you know where to look there are some great runs of pubs around London.

The George is my absolute favourite; mentioned in The Canterbury Tales and frequented by W. Shakespeare and C. Dickens.
Have that, Graham Wetherspoon, you pillock.

Michael Sibble must be Cee Lo Green !

It's way too touristy. Have you tried the Rake by the market?
