Quality! The first of about 4-5 big name signings that season. Exciting teams and topped by the Deano deal the following season.
-
check out the dodgy suit
-
My dad never tires of telling me the brolly bloke at Wimbledon was stood next to him, that goal makes me emotional.
-
That summer was crazy, we installed a revolving door at VP there were so many.
-
Good find.
Was most excited about the signings of Stan Staunton and Les Sealy during that period. Strange now, looking back.
Stan was good for us during that first stint. Dalian could/ should have been one of the alltime greats or -at the very least- an England regular.
-
Shaun Teale, Cyrille Regis and erm...Paul Mortimer signed that summer as well. signed that summer as well.
-
I remember being really excited about this signing. Falls in the Collymore category,of having so much natural talent, but not the mental ability to go with it.
Until he got injured in 92/93,he was the best striker along with Shearer in the country.
Watched a re run of the 94 lc final the other day,and he was immense, worked his arse of,shame he couldnt always do that.

"Transfer that lingered on for four days..."
Innocent times.
