They are known for being trouble and tonight they have not disappointed. They are as bad as blue noses and worse than Man U by a long way. Animals. Heard from a few now that they have jumped a load of Villa outside Wastelands. They do it every time we play there. Scum. Has anyone else heard this?
-
Never had any problems on the two occasions I've been to Eastlands. The two season ticket holding City fans I know are decent as well. Would rather they had some luck than somebody like Spurs. Having said that I'm sure they have their fair share of idiots.
-
Nah. Millwall is by far the worst.

I have had trouble there and know many other people that have. There has been more trouble tonight from that lot. How you can then wish them luck I have no idea.
-
VCTM jnr had a coin just miss his face last season - thats why we didn`t go tonight - because he was scared . That ain`t right.
-
I work and have lots of citeh fans as mates and generally their sound. All teams got scum elements , citeh are no where near mill wall, blues or Cardiff.

I think I was more talking about the wankers around the ground on a match day. I too have met ok City fans but Wastelands is a very dodgy place.
-
Yeah and Aston lovely

I didn't wish them luck, I said I'd prefer them to have luck than certain other clubs.
-
It's a dodgy place to get out of as segregation is pretty shit and they have a lot of wankers in the corner by the away fans add to that the police are useless.
-
I remember having plenty of trouble at Maine Road too so I don't think their behaviour is confined to Taxpayers Park.
-
yes, Man City fans are actually genetically worse than Man Utd, better than Blues & West Ham. Liverpool have knowledgable fans and Everton are a bloody brilliant load of lads (nearly as good as us. We're the best.
All Spurs fans are annoying!
It's a good job there's no chance element in this football fan business; othewrwise it'd be difficult to make sweeping judgements about thousands of people you've never met.
Of course I only judge an amorphous mass once I've met 3 or 4 of their number.

You seem to be implying that the post is made up of nothing but random finger pointing. Nonsense. I have seen the trouble there on several occasions and heard about yet more tonight. They are scum. It doesn't seem to happen as much at any other ground we go to (Blues maybe aside) so what is wrong with pointing it out? It seems to ALWAYS happen with them.
-
I've said a few time that I find them the most arrogant obnoxious bunch of wankers going, its there younger fans that that applys to though, their older generation are sound
-
they're quite good in that corner for making noise, though i'd argue anyone would be with the fortune they've recently come into and a stadium manager that has specifically earmarked those few blocks as their singing section and informed the powerless FLA and SAG that stewards would not be targeting those fans to sit. what confuses me is that the fans in that corner buy a ticket and then spend 90 minutes facing the away fans singing about manchester united. why spend all that money and not watch a single minute of the action? if you're that obsessed with them, but don't particularly like watching football, go in the stretford end and turn your back to the game..
as has been said, there's always going to be trouble when you've got a load of seemingly arrogant pissed up twats right next to the away end who get a bit shirty when you mention not winning anything for 35 years. and there usually is when you come out the away end.
albeit i can't be held accountable for what might happen to that bieber lookalike by the away fans who, in his brandspanking new citeh shirt, the past three away games there has goaded the villa fans for ninety minutes from a distance (he stands at the front of the second block away from the away end by the corner flag but was today about 7 rows back to usual) for what seems to be absolutely no reason. blows kisses and rubs his hair and everything. if you were to ask me 'who do you hate most in football?', it'd be him..
-
I think that after Blackburn and Wuhan away a couple of seasons ago that ours could named the worst around

Maybe it's the way you've written your post.
"They are known for being trouble and tonight they have not disappointed."
"Heard from a few now that they have jumped a load of Villa"
"They do it every time we play there. Scum. Has anyone else heard this?"
"I have heard about yet more tonight. They are scum."
"It seems to ALWAYS happen with them."
The evidence seems a bit flimsy and you sound like you're erring on the side of hysteria.
-
I went there twice in the 90's and not since, the FA cup game was a disgrace, they went mental the police dogs were out, my mates coach had his windows put through with pick axe handle's. Me and a load of mates got chased through those dodgy alleys.
I went in the league and it was as bad, they were being held in the main stand so we could get away. Never been since. They won both games also
-
I remember having plenty of trouble at Maine Road too so I don't think their behaviour is confined to Taxpayers Park.
Same here. I can't stand the fuckers, some people think they're alright but I've never come across a Citeh fan who wasn't a twat.
-
I remember being among hundreds of Villa fans who had to be evacuated onto the pitch at Maine Road by stewards when their fans invaded the Villa end and started merry hell after an FA Cup game - 1995 I think.
And this was after they'd WON.
Animals.
-
Never had any bother up there ever. In fact in over 20 years of traveling away never really had any bother anywhere. Find it's usually quite easy to avoid hassle if you dont act like a ******.

Same here on the most part, so you remember those occaisions when hassle chases you out of your seat, or down the road.
-
I can only speak as I find but that was my 4th visit to COMS and I've never known any trouble. Yes Maine Rd could be dodgy at times but that was many years ago.
As for the corner to our right, yes there's a few bell-ends in there, but I wish our home support was as noisy.
-
I like their "we're not really here" song because as it happens most of them weren't really there.
You can't really cup each others slenders when the bloke sat next to you is fifty seats away.
-
Im dreading Cardiff , If they come up. You are pretty fooked as you come out of the ground there . Will give that place a miss , If they come up.
-
So was there actually any trouble last night or all handbags ?

I think that's the one im on about, Was it when Paul Stewart Scored?
-

According to Bluemoon a group of gobby Villa fans (8-12 of them) sang a few songs at the Citeh fans after the game and got a few slaps for their trouble.

That was after Villa fans had invaded the pitch and ran towards the Man City fans.
To answer the question at the top of the thread, no. They're not even close to being the worst around. Maine Road could get a bit moody, but dosent really compare to some of the really nasty places we've all been to with Villa.
And - I'm not sure which thread to post this on so I'll do it here - Fuck off Houlllier, you fucking chicken

?????
Probably say the same about us based on this comment

As I said yesterday, been to Eastlands a few times and never had an issue. Had a great time that day Maloney scored and all the fans we met were sound.
-

For some reason that is one of the funniest things I've ever read on here. I think it's the " blows kisses and rubs his hair and everything". I've never in my life seen him but I'm willing to hate him to.
-
Nothing can come close to Millwall. Lunatics.
-
Leeds used to be bad

Yeah it was our "fans" that ran onto the side of the pitch, I think they scored a pen in a 1-0 win.

Yep - and Tony Coton played the game of his life just to rub our noses in it

I bought a ticket of a tout outside the ground and found myself in the stand our so called fans tried to attack, I made a sharp exit as I was already paranoid I'd been rumbled by my lack of celebration by those around me.
-
It definately wasn't a pen
-
It definately wasn't a pen
You might be right, I'm sure the was a pen in the game though.

WALSH PUTS CITY IN DREAMLAND

IT HAS been an above-average week for Manchester City fans. They have enjoyed a cheerful three days chuckling at the discomfiture of their local rivals and now they're in the last 16 of the Cup.
It's time to start dreaming. A nice little home draw against a moderate First Division side in the fifth round, the same again in the sixth round and wallop, they're at Wembley for the semi-final.
No such luxuries for the disconsolate Villa fans who are left contemplating, at best, a season of mid-table complacency.
Disillusioned, they overflowed on to the pitch at the end and for a moment it looked as though we might witness the old-fashioned sight of fan hitting fan. But before that could happen, the stewards quickly brought the situation under control.
The goal which won the game came very early on. Ian Brightwell had as much time as he needed to tee up and then chip a precise ball over Teale which Walsh latched on to and lashed past Bosnich.
The game immediately went quiet with the players not helped by a cloggy, energy -sapping pitch. On this surface, what was required were passes to be overhit rather than stroked around.
City, who haven't won in the League since early December, seemed surprised by how readily and easily they had taken the lead. They became nervy and fretful but Villa just couldn't manage to bully their way back into the game.
Fashanu was at the centre of most of their attacks but, surprisingly perhaps, he was actually guilty of being too unselfish, dummying and laying off when he might have shot.
After the break, Villa continued to press forward, forcing corner after corner. The majority of these were directed at centre-backs McGrath and Ehiogu but although confusion was created in the box, chances did not arise.
City at last began to believe in themselves and Gaudino, having played a wide -angled one-two with Flitcroft, shot fiercely only for Bosnich to block the ball away at the near post.
End-to-end entertainment ensued. Saunders played the ball low and hard into Fashanu, who fell over, taking a defender with him. Coton saved bravely at the feet of Taylor. Then, the impressive Gaudino and Walsh created an opportunity for Beagrie but he couldn't squeeze the ball in.
They continued to trade chances with Townsend firing just over and a snapshot from Summerbee being tipped over by Bosnich.
As a last card, Little brought on Johnson, Tommy not Ulrika, to combine with Fashanu up front. And it was he who set up Taylor only for his last-minute shot to be clawed away by Coton. Staunton rammed the rebound against the post. It was that close but City just deserved it.

Ayresome Park was the worst for me.
-
Ayresome Park was the worst for me.
Yup. That was a horrible, intimidating place to go to. Compare and contrast with the Riverside now, which is about as intimidating as a slightly busier than usual Saturday afternoon at Waitrose.
-
Had hot Bovril chucked in my face at Ayresome Park - nasty bastards they were.
Stoke is always interesting as is Forest in days gone by.
Man Citeh were a rough lot in the 80's but just your typical chav following now , just like most teams.
Back in the day, West Ham was a nasty place to go,
-
They used to be decent fans but all the Arabian money has made them very arrogant.
-
Going to the Den in the late 1980s was just horrible. I went with some friends who were Brighton fans for a play off game. The Millwall fans had so many idiots that just wanted to get at away fans. They today have a worryingly large minority of their support that thinks the EDL is a good thing and that the 1980s are still ongoing as they create regular disorder. Millwall is alot worse to go to for a football match compared to Man City. So is Cardiff.

That's the one. The goal was fucking MILES offside.

I just don't like Man City anyway especially after the Barry and Milner episodes.
-

Perhaps then, I was only ten. Definitely had to be evacuated onto the pitch to escape the violence, though.
-
Not been to Eastlands but Maine Road was a shit hole in and outside. '95 in "Lawro Speak" was handbags at ten paces. Mind you, I wasn't ten at the time.
The worst around? No. Still like them for the banner and not being bothered when they let us win in '93.
