I am presuming that because the match is at Villa Park on Sunday 6 March it will be open to the paying public but I can't see anything about this on the OS. All I can find is the original article (http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~2296482,00.html). Before I ring the ticket office, does anyone have any information about tickets for this?
I wasn't sure whether to put this in Heroes Discussions or Tickets & Travel so apologies if I chose incorrectly!

if we manage to draw on wednesday night against manc, the replay is earmarked for monday 7th so surely the youth cup game wont be played at VP on the sunday?????

Hinckley Farm ?

Hinckley Farm ?
I think all Youth Cup games have to be played at your home ground from this point onwards. I may be wrong because all three ties so far have been away from home.
-
Youth Cup ties are at Villa Park. If it's not on the Official Site I assume that means that the match hasn't been scheduled yet, perhaps they are waiting to see if Villa Park will be required for more FA Cup games. Unlike the FA Cup, FA Youth Cup games aren't on a fixed date and get agreed by the clubs.

it is on the fa website as sunday 6th 12pm k/o

Great stuff. The youth and reserves have often been a beacon of hope in our dark times. Well done to all the players and staff involved.

Villa stride into Semi-Final
By Wally Downes - Sunday, 06 March, 2011
Tony McAndrews' side aim for second successive Final.
Aston Villa 3-1 Middlesbrough
The FA Youth Cup sponsored by E.ON
Sixth Round Proper
Sunday 6 March 2011
Aston Villa booked themselves a place in the FA Youth Cup Semi-Final with a comprehensive win over visiting Middlesbrough.
A two-legged affair against either Leicester City or Sheffield United – with that game being played on Wednesday – is now all that stands between the Villains and a place in the Final for the second successive year.
Gerard Houllier has used a number of Academy graduates this season after the class of 2009-10 reached the Final last year – after wins against Fulham and Newcastle – before succumbing to Chelsea at the final hurdle.
That incentive drove Villa's youngsters on to another win and took them one step closer to being able to show their French first-team manager their potential on the biggest stage in English youth football.
Middlesbrough were the latest side to be put to a Villa wielded sword after Bristol Rovers, Peterborough and Leeds United were dispatched in earlier rounds.
Tony McAndrews’ side took the lead on 34 minutes when Villa skipper Daniel Johnson won back possession on the edge of the 'Boro box, turned and drilled a left-footed shot into the bottom corner.
The home side were 2-0 up six minutes after the restart. Samir Carruthers reached the ‘Boro by-line with a direct run and clipped the ball to the back post where Graham Burke thumped home a majestic left-foot volley.
Boro got back in the game with 18 minutes left with a Charlie Wyke goal after a long clearance from Connor Ripley, who played for their first team less than 24 hours earlier, in the ‘Boro goal.
But Villa regained their two goal advantage and put the result beyond doubt four minutes later, Carruthers delivered from the left and Middlesbrough defender Matthew Waters sliced in to his own net at the near post.

Well done lads please let this be our year for the FA Youth Cup come on my Villa Babbies.
-
Some good news from the weekend at least.
-
We will play the winners of Leicester v Sheff Utd. That game takes place tomorrow night at the Walkers.
Come on Leicester, it means I can watch one leg just 10 minutes walk from my house!
The other semi will be Chelsea v Man Utd or Liverpool. The dirty reds play each other on Sunday.
The dates for the semis have not been yet been confirmed.
-
Aren't Leicester doing well in the Academy League (it's either the reserves or academy that they're doing well in)??
Would rather face Sheffield United I think.
Probably get through and lose to smegging Chelsea again.
