Title: Watford 75 mile season ticket
Post by: dorsetvillian on February 15, 2011, 04:57:01 PM: One of our group travelling up on Saturday, said some years ago he had a teacher in Bournemouth who got a concession on his Watford season ticket by living over 75 mile miles from the ground. I looked on the Watford web site and they still do a similar scheme for long distance supporters. I wonder if other clubs do something similar and maybe Villa might like to consider such a a scheme. I personally think its a great idea!!

It's only small clubs that can really do something like this.

I think that that would be exactly the position I'd be in. My round trip to Villa Park is 150 miles.

I bet most of us can think of someone we know in another part of the country who is a season ticket holder for their local team. You buy their season ticket for them, they get yours, you both get the discount. Simples.

Bradford City do incredibly cheap season tickets, average attendance over 10,700 while the rest of league two averages under 4,000. Just shows how many people will go to football if its really affordable.
