From the winter of last season onwards the games in a season and half have been awful weather wise. I think the Blackburn home prem game and the West Ham game were the only ones that it didnt feel cold. Its either been pissing it down or bloody freezing.
Before the Stoke game last december I was virtually skating to Villa Park.
-
Yesterday was hideously cold.
-
2 pissing Bovrils I had yesterday, i aint even keen on it, cold is an under statement
-
Before we played West Ham away last season (September/October ish?) I bought a new pair of thermal gloves and I think I've had to wear them at every game since.
Yesterday was bitterly cold. Not quite as bad as Liverpool away this season, mind.
-
It pissed down before, during and shortly after the West Ham game this season as well.

Yes, I remember that storm at the start of the second half, the sky went black. Least it wasn't too cold, wonder what the forecast is for next Saturday?
-
Last season was freezing too.
-
I think last season was worse. And the Britannia Stadium is the coldest place on Earth.
-
I live in Canada and I went to yesterday's game and I have not been so cold for months, although I did see a bald bloke walking down trinity road with just his Villa shirt on!
-

Last season was the coldest whole season I have ever known.
-
The last 2 weekends watching my son playing for his Under 8's team it's been bloody freezing yet not one of the boys has worn tights, gloves or bloody snoods. If 7 year olds can cope with the cold why can't professional footballers?
-
Records were set for a freezing cold December... January has been very mild and humid (a nice change after a horrible December), got a bit chilly last few days though.
Can't stay out in really cold weather for too long cos' I got a weak immune system but I'll make exceptions for the Villa!
-
The coldest ive been this season was Spurs at home,,just could not get warm even at home 50 mins after the game finished--mind its been cold almost every home game----Chelsea for some reason was bitter and yestreday dam cold,
last season Liverpool at home i thought i was going to have a seizure,
would,nt it be nice to get a game with just a wee bit of sunshine?
-
I was in shirt sleeves for the Blackburn Carling Cup match!
Otherwise, yes, cold and/or wet all round.
-
ffs what is the issue with players wearing clothes to keep themselves warm? you are starting to sound like alan fucking green, welcome to the enlightened age.
-
Yesterday was a bit nippy.
I thought Baggies at home 2 yrs ago was colder tho, that was freezing!!
-
Arsenal this season was even colder.
-
cold indeed...we don't wear trousers here unless it gets to -15C.
Kidding off course. The worst I've been in here was -52C (with the wind chill) in Ottawa in 2002. So cold that your nose hairs would stick together as soon as you walked outside. But there's something about the English cold that just gets into your bones. It's the dampness that does it. Something I don't really miss.
-
Been a terrible winter.
My gas bill made me billious.
-

There was a Biblical proportion thunder storm half-way through.
-
Saturday wasn't that cold was it? Certainly first half when the goals went in kept everyone warm I thought. My youngest did complain of the cold when walking back to the car however!
-
Yes it was.
-
The coldest i've ever been at a match was on a sunny day at Boundary Park in the early 90's. Bloody freezing it was.

As cold as I can ever remember being at a match. I lost contact with my feet about half an hour into the game. I think it was the wind-chill that did it. There was a bloke next to me with his young daughter, and the poor kid was shivering uncontrollably for most of the second half.

Liverpool last Christmas with the horizontal snow. I've even bought myself a thick waterproof jacket because I am sick of being cold and wet and at the Villa.

I should have been at that game with my daughter, but had to cry off, what with having the swine flu. I reckon the weather would have finished me off that night.
-
It seems every time I have walked out of Villa Park for about a year or so now the weather has been dreadful.
-
And the Met Office forecast for the weekend is......*drum roll*........unsettled, wet and windy with spells of heavy rain >:(
-
Never seemed this cold when Doug was still in charge.
The Board Must Go !

The Board Must Go !
The hot air coming from the directors box kept us all warm!

Liverpool last Christmas with the horizontal snow. I've even bought myself a thick waterproof jacket because I am sick of being cold and wet and at the Villa.
Now theres a revolutionary idea - wearing appropriate clothing for the weather! I'm rarely cold at Villa because I wear thermal layers, a warm coat, and shoes with thick soles...................................and drink as much as possible before kick off!
-
Obviously the inclement weather this season is a direct result of MON leaving - after all. according to some posters, the sun really did shine out of his arse

I wear layers upon layers. Scarves, hats, hoods, thermal gloves, thick socks, fur lined boots, I'm like the Michellin man. I also have lots of hand warmers.
I'm going to try your second suggestion tomorrow night, Amfy. Plenty of alcohol.
-
I actually put together a list of all the weather conditions for home games this season from memory that I never managed to post. But to cut a long story short, since August it's been fucking freezing.

All well and good but the huge coat I bought for Villa games seemed to cause us to lose at SHA & Sunderland so must be unlucky and can never be worn in B6 again.

I know last season that it rained at all but two games...
