Didn't we beat England in that game, and I think it was the same night Leeds went apeshit at Albion.

It was sold on ebay by the club and advertised on Pravda.

Mine was signed by Brian Little, Trevor Brooking, Kevin Keegan and several others. Did Paul Goddard play for the England team?

Didn`t go the game as I am not keen on testamonials - as always if it is a genuine reason (i.e. injury ) I sent the admission money c/o the club.

Brian Little wrote a  nice letter back to me with his thanks and enclosed a signed programme.

This was the first Villa game I went to - I also have two of these programmes, one has a blackjack sweet wrapper stuck to the inside cover, a true collectors item ;)

he did in that game but not sure he ever played for England, he might have done in that Australia game Spinksy played in.

No idea why it is so expensive, must be someone trying it on.  This was also my first game too, so I got the programme on ebay for a couple of quid a few years ago.

paul goddard earned a single full cap for the England team against Iceland in June 1982 (scoring once).

£10 for the Dennis Mortimer testimonial  programme. Not that rare as the listing states Villa (seller id astonvillab6) have more than 10 available.

The seller astonvillab6 is the id the club uses, they've been advertising this ebay auction on the official site.

He owns a bar in Spain now, when I visited he very kindly showed me his scrapbook of his time at Villa. Nice fella, I'm a bit embarassed to confess that I had never heard of him before.

Do you mean you had never heard of Keith Leonard? Gary Sprake played for small heath around that time I think, although I could have dreamed it!
