I've got a couple of those somewhere from when you used to get 10 programmes for a quid at reserve games.
-
it says on item dexcription that there is ONLY ONE AVAILABLE
i have got 2 and one of them is signed by brian little
-
Yeah, I've got one of these also. I'd have thought they were quite common.
-
Didn't we beat England in that game, and I think it was the same night Leeds went apeshit at Albion.
-
It was sold on ebay by the club and advertised on Pravda.

Beat England 3-2. I think Brian got 2.
-
I've got most programmes from 71 to about 1992 in the shed but haven't got round to selling th
yet- might be worth thinking about it now though.
-
Mine was signed by Brian Little, Trevor Brooking, Kevin Keegan and several others. Did Paul Goddard play for the England team?
-
Didn`t go the game as I am not keen on testamonials - as always if it is a genuine reason (i.e. injury ) I sent the admission money c/o the club.
Brian Little wrote a nice letter back to me with his thanks and enclosed a signed programme.
-
Forgot about this.. brings back memories.... just
-
This was the first Villa game I went to - I also have two of these programmes, one has a blackjack sweet wrapper stuck to the inside cover, a true collectors item ;)

he did in that game but not sure he ever played for England, he might have done in that Australia game Spinksy played in.
-
This was also my first ever game, but i didnt like blackjack sweets. Much preferred Refreshers.
-
No idea why it is so expensive, must be someone trying it on. This was also my first game too, so I got the programme on ebay for a couple of quid a few years ago.

I have just had a notification from Ebay stating Aston Villa are selling a few very old testimonial programmes Paul mcGrath, Dennis Mortimer Keith Leonard John Robson and Jack Taylor its as if they have found a key to a long locked door?
-
Keith Leonard , theres a blast from the past , played in the same team as my Dad at Highgate... Then , when he was in hospital I visited him and he got me all the Villa signatures... still got them in my book... including Gary Sprake ( i think his name ) for some reason ;-s

Fruit salads were my "penny chew" (when they did cost 1p) of choice

£10 for the Dennis Mortimer testimonial programme. Not that rare as the listing states Villa (seller id astonvillab6) have more than 10 available.

The seller astonvillab6 is the id the club uses, they've been advertising this ebay auction on the official site.

He owns a bar in Spain now, when I visited he very kindly showed me his scrapbook of his time at Villa. Nice fella, I'm a bit embarassed to confess that I had never heard of him before.
-
Even I have one of these. Mine is also signed I think.

Do you mean you had never heard of Keith Leonard? Gary Sprake played for small heath around that time I think, although I could have dreamed it!
