Remember this? a replay after drawing 1-1 at Villa park.
I remember the half time entertainment at the first game consisted of a dozen paratroopers abseiling down the North Stand in front of the Millwall fan. Bizarre..
I think there were only about 12,000 at Villa Park for the first game?

Millwall's FA Cup killing / Aston Villa defeated
LENGTH: 118 words
Aston Villa of the First Division were last night knocked out of the FA Cup by Millwall of the Second. John Fashanu headed the second-half goal which is certain to increase the pressure on the beleaguered Villa manager Graham Turner.

For some reason I remember Fashanu getting a round of applause for carrying the ball back to us when he was given offside, rather than just leaving the ball where it was, obviously easily pleased in those days.

Yes i remember this cup tie well. i had not missed a game home or away all season but could,nt find anyone who would go to the replay so i never went.

Wasn't the following game the infamous Southampton home game with 8,000 fans?
