Before I do something stoopid like smile upon a defeat for cross eyed pig brady and hopes of seeing blose get smashed up by a cricket score at nuwembley by the arsenal; might I ask, they wouldn't get a European spot for being losers to a champions league qualified arsenal would they?
-
No
-
If Arsenal win it then it goes to the 6th placed team in the league
-
Nope
-
I don't want them scumbags to get there
-
And if one of the top 4 win the fa cup then 7th place gets a European spot so plenty to play for yet.
-
Since the embarrassing facade of the invitational Inter Cities Fairs Cup in the early 1960s, there has been a top secret UEFA directive in place that no team playing in a dog piss smelling shit hole followed by knuckle dragging neanderthals and who bear the name of their city yet are massively overshadowed by a superior force within the same city boundaries will ever be allowed to take part in any European competition.
Im surprised this hasnt yet come out in Wikileaks.

I love this question as it gets asked every year. It is the same as my mother asking every week after the lottery is drawn..does 2 and the bonus ball count?
Both answers No BTW.

I thought if a top finishing four club beats, for example, Everton who finish say 10th, in the final then Everton would get a European spot?

Spot on mate if the FA cup is won by a team finishing in a European qualyfying spot then the losing finalist picks up the Europa League place. This happened last season when Chelsea won the FA cup. However, Pompey as losing finalists were prevented from taking up that Europa League spot due to their financial problems and it went to Liverpool, thats the only reason they are playing in Europe this season lucky sods.
-
I would hope no one wants the scum to win tonight.
Wembley Wembley, the famous place in London that the blues will never see Wembley!

This is true but if the FA cup final is between two sides who are BOTH already in Europe next season then the spot will go to 6th or 7th in the league depending on who wins the Carling cup. So, if Arse win it the CC spot goes to 6th and the FA spot would go to 7th should the FA final be between, say, Man United and Chelsea.
-
The FA Cup losing finalist will get a Europa place. The only way 7th gets a place is if both finalists finish 6th or above. Therefore finishing 7th could mean a place in the Europa with two qualifying matches before the League stage.
Of course Villa will qualify by winning the FA Cup this year.
-
There are six ways for Villa to qualify for Europe:-
(i) Finish top five
(ii) Finish sixth if Arsenal win the League Cup OR The FA Cup Final is between two teams from Blues and the top five.
(iii) Finish seventh if Arsenal win the League Cup AND The FA Cup Final is between two top six teams.
(iv) Win the FA Cup
(v) Lose the FA Cup Final to a top four team, OR the Champions League winners.
(vi) Qualify through the Fair Play nonsense.

If blues make europe we'll all be banned for another 5 years!

Assuming Arsenal finish in the top 5 places. I know it is a given but we can only but dream that the top 4-5 places are not predictable at the start of every season.

No, Runners up of the FA cup get the European place.
