Did anyone else witness this yesterday, half an hour before kick-off?
A lone, crazed Manchester City supporter giving it the 'big 'un' outside the Holte Suite.
As he was set upon and realizing that he'd bitten off a bit more than he could chew, he wisely beat a tactical retreat and legged it, against the tide through the oncoming crowd. Weird.
-
Was in the Holte Suite, upstairs, and was blissfully unaware of any incident.
-
I did'nt see this incident but did witness a City fan get chinned after the game by the healing Church, while I don't condone punching him it probably has to be said that standing there singing Anti-Villa songs at a passing crowd is probably not the wisest move
-
I remember a coach load of them getting lost and coming down the Trinity Road after they had walloped 4 past us in a 70's night match. All the windows went through and then they started getting off - Neanderthal does not do them justice - we all beat a hasty retreat as well!
-
as i was walking to the ground with my friend, we seen a group of maybe 6/7/8 man city fans singing blue moon and heading in general direction of the holte. they went up the stairs at the side of the ground and stood at bottom of the holte steps. bit of a stand off with a few villa fans and then the man city fans walked off as the stewards moved them on, 30 seconds later 1 of the more mouthy city fans was on his own and he ran back to the stewards and as he did got a punch to the side of the face and as he went down he was knee'd in the face. the 2 black stewards grabbed the city fan and got him away and i heard 1 of them say "shouldn't even be over this side ennit blud!"
-
I read through the match thread on Blue Moon and a Manc claimed that a Villa fan had threatened to stab him. Not pleasant.
-
Did anyone see the insident at the train station after the match few chav kids were singing 'tevez been bit by a shark' :-[ resulting in a city fan attempting to walk across the live train tracks to confront said chavs police quickly intervened

Great post ....

Man City have always had an idiot element, Then again our lot aint perfect. I always remember there being a full scale riot after they beat us 1-0 in the FA cup in the 90's. They were just going mad..They had won I remember thinkin I glad we got beat
-
Delightful stuff.

Well he shouldn't have broken into his house, should he?
-
All those that spoke to me before the game were fine. No problems at all.
-
I'm a steward at vp and work with the away fans coz I wouldn't like to kick a villa fan out. The city fans are so arrogant calling villa a pub team they were fighting between themselves 100% wankers. One bloke came up to me and said your fucking shit a fucking pub team so I just laughed at him and said you've just been beat by a pub team then ha ha he didn't find it amusing
-
"Now, I'm not saying the Chatsworth Estate is the Garden of Eden..."
-
"At least we've got our own pub"
-
Maybe we should set up a fixture with the team from t'Jockeh
-
Sca'ah! Par'eh!
-
"At least we've got our own pub"
At least our "landlord" loves our club and don`t see at as a game of monopoly ......

I'm delighted to see some posters demonstrating their grasp of Kilingon.
-
The fans from both manchester club really do their club credit don't they!
-
I much prefer the blue to the red.

What's Klingon for 'Sci-Fi Blackpool fan'?
-
Quite a few of them in the city centre before the game. They were in the Troc and a few other pubs we went in. Didn't see any problems at all.
I did see it kicking off by the train station after the game but nothing major.
-
Give me Utd any day over City, in my experience City are the biggest bunch of obnoxious patronising pricks going, even more so than Spurs

I couldn't disagree more.

I'm glad you asked, it's "b'Ans use'r"

Ironic, isn't it. Tevez himself looks like a Klingon. Either that or he plays with a cornish pasty sellotaped to his forehead
-
Got bit by a shark...

Suppose it depends on experiences, no doubt you come across a larger number of away fans than me though while on H&V duties
-
and now looks like Steve Bruce...

Yes. I can guarantee the red side are far worse than the blue.

And if proof were ever needed City are not even close to the Red Scum fans , read on..

Now can you tell me Man Utd fans would have posted anything similar. It would have been how we ripped up the place, ran Villa, took over their main boozers etc. All posted from sunny Surrey, obviously.

The new Tevez Low Fat Grilling Machine, so good he put his face on it.
-
I got the train back into town from Witton with a lot of their support, they were fine, a few mouthy twats shouting out the windows but harmless stuff.
-
They were mostly fine as they came past where I was selling, a lot of very drunk buggers but to be expected given the extra two and a half hours supping time I suppose.
Sold two fanzines to Citeh fans looking for programmes so it's all good.
-
Oh, and I sold fanzine to Wolfie.
-
I' d be interested to know if any of our IOM based fans witnessed any of the alleged incident ?

That is excellent.
Some eejit on their forum wrote....
"mate im not a hooligan at all but after getin train from aston i ended up singingin 'goin down my lord goin down villa goin down' then this villa fan came up to me n said shut so i told him fuck off n he said he was gunna stab me lol so i ignored him and he kept kickin off so i ended up chuckin a fence at him n he still give it so i asked him to come down a side street n fukin av it with me n he fukin done one so i shouted fuk off u brummie c*** then the next c*** comes along so i had lost it by then lol"
He is subjected to pages of quality piss-taking and derision culminating in this ...

There were a few of their fans who made 'Shameless' look like a documentary, but then a few of our lot did Villa's reputation no good either.
-
I don't have a problem with Man City fans. I have a problem with what their club has become, as it now represents pretty much every single thing which is wrong with the game.
Man United's away support are arrogant bastards, that much is true, but they always seem to be mainly Mancs, and they're always amongst the noisiest we see. I never understand why by comparison Liverpool get away with it, when away from home they take a gigantic number of jester hat wearing Scandinavians, and are - for me at least - the dictionary definition of the camera-toting once a season Sky fan.
Liverpool's away support is dreadful in pretty much every way. They don't even make any noise. The last few years at our place, they've been absolutely dreadful.
-
I liked this comment
Spoke to quite a few Villa fans on the way back and most if them were sound, just normal footy fans no different to ourselves. Never had any problems at Villa Park, unlike the mouth breathers from Birmingham City.
-
Half five kick-offs, don't ya just love 'em?
-
i just cried and almost pissed myself reading there forum
-
Ah the joys of the 5.30pm kick off.
Always loads of drunk morons at the game.

Leave me out of it please!

Sorry Surrey, no offence intended. Anyway, everybody knows you're nails and one of the founding members of the C Crew.
-
That Blue Moon thread is great. It must be a bastard to read for all those who like their fans to conform to cosy stereotypes.
-
I live in Greater Manchester for most part of the week and rarely come across any City fans. Obviously loads of utd fans, who believe it or not are generally sound and fairly knowledgeable about their footie. The general consensus of opinion is that city fans are the equivalent of small heath fans. It must have something to do with living in the shadows of more illustrious neighbours. Sad really.

I myself have generally found that to be the case.

Very funny that Blue Moon thread.
Referring to the almost illiterate fence thrower as a pissed up Incredible Hulk, very funny.

My favourite so far is from a poster named friend:
When you say you "lost it" what was it you lost? Your knowledge of basic grammar?

This is the best post on there:
There was a set-to between some Evangelicals, Non-Conformists and the organist. It escalated dramatically when the choir got involved.
(thread title is "Trouble near the church")

I like the 'Posted from my V-Tech learn your abc' edit.
