Title: Who spins the discs at Villa Park?
Post by: Lucky Eddie on January 20, 2011, 02:36:09 PM
What's the name of the dj bloke at Villa Park? Talks between tracks at half time.

How many years has he been doing it for?

Thank you.

So who's the bloke who's voice I hear over the tannoy? He's been there at least twenty years I'm sure.

The bloke in tha actual dj desk/tannoy room at the top of the doug ellis (north end) is
David Poulton who has been there for the last 20 seasons or so.
Comedian Dave Ismay has stepped in occassionally i think. The pith side announcer is Russ Morris from BRMB radio and sometimes villa's own commentator Jack Woodward fills that role

I say, if he's on the road to recovery, give the gig to Nigel Callaghan.

It would great to see him finally put in a full shift at Villa Park.

It's like people when they say Tannoy when they mean public address system. Tannoy is a brand name.

We have gone very Alan Partridge-esque on here over the last few days!

The tannoy is way too loud. I can barely hear the bloke next to me talking b*****s at half time. I went to a Derby game in October and Nigel Callaghan was on the pitch at half time. He has clearly been investing heavily in Pukka since he stopped hobbling down wings.

Take the tannoy out and get Brian Blessed.

I wish our players could take it in turns to have their own playlists played just before the players come out the tunnel for home matches

Listening to an obnoxious Southern USA rapper for our tunnel music - awesome.

About time they started playing Chelsea Dagger again. It was so popular last time.

I've never heard that before. Wow, it's really bad. They seem to be a Franz Ferdinand tribute act.
