Apparently an Everton fan has been stabbed to death outside the King Harry pub.
-
It's doing the cyber-rounds but nothing confirmed yet. Let's hope it's not true.
-
That's terrible news
I never bought into all the "friendly" stuff but it was a change not to read about a derby that was looked on as a time for a good old punch up
-
I always thought this Everton Liverpool friendly stuff was a myth.
-
There was an annoucement during the game over the tannoy that ones of the roads had been closed due to an incident not sure if that's the same thing hope not.
-
I really hope its not true

I used to spend a fair amount of time in Liverpool, they hate each other. Its just that they hate the mancs more.
-
ironic in the states how warren barton made a point of telling his american audience that its the only english derby that fans from both sides sit together in harmony!. where's he from?
-
BBC saying the game passed off peacefully, hopefully its bullshit.

You hope someone got stabbed to death?
-
Got this from an Everton forum
The latest news on radio Merseyside is...................
There was a fight in the King Harry pub, the pub was closed, but there were no serious injuries and no arrests.
Whether something has happened after this or like the Gman said, they are holding back info to stop an all out riot, we shall learn later. However, if everytime there was a fight in a city pub they shut the road, the streets would be constantly grid locked.
Lets face it, they are reds............murdering is what they do!
-
Do you really think thats what I meant?
-
That's what you've written but I'm open minded enough to give you the benefit of the doubt.
-
If you want to score a cheap pedantic point of the back of someone maybe getting stabbed at a match you fill your boots.
-
I'm guessing it meant the report of the incident is bullshit.
That said, these things get media blackout to avoid reprisals. Look how Chris Priest's murder was reported.
-
From an Everton forum...
LiverpoolEcho Newspaper @ 19:25
"We understand no one is dead, but the 'no injuries' line is hard to square with the photo we have of a large blood pool outside the pub."
-

WTF?
:o
-
If it has happened it's such tragic news.

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised by lovejoy's response.

not any more, but i've seen loads of liverpool derby games when they are all mingled in together, not so many years ago either

You have got more and more mental as you've been posting on these boards, I suggest a break for a while and perhaps laying off the arsehole tablets would help.
-
There were a few Everton fans in the Liverpool end that celebrated for both goals. Imagine that at VP!!!! They do mix, but not in the 100's..........
-
I couldn't see the police cordoning off a main exit point because of some scuffles before KO. Unfortunately I reckon something serious has happened there.

Listen I've re-read the original post and I see what was meant now but in all honesty I thought PeterWithe was being a tw@t. I can now see this was a mistake on my part and I apologise for this.
Not sure how posting on tax evasion by players or being pleasantly surprised by todays performance makes me mental (perhaps I'm not negative enough??!!) or an asshole. Read through the game thread and see how mental some people can be.
-
Blimey. I thought you were joking, lovejoy.
Amazed you didn't realised what he meant.
-
So sad.

More detail from yesterday

Scum, Sub human scum.
There was trouble at Sunderland & Newcastle, Harper was pushed to the ground by someone who invaded the pitch. I can see the fences comin back up at this rate
-
Although it was a disgusting act from a bunch of cowards at least it wasn't as bad as first feared.
-
Well I’ve received more sincere apologies and ones that didn’t include calling me a twat but nevertheless I’m glad its now as clear to you as to everyone else that I don’t think football fans getting stabbed is something to be made light of.
-
I think we're on the same page on this then.
(I didn't call you a tw@t I apologised for assuming you were being a tw@t).
Draw a line and move on?
-
Draw a line and move on?
That would seem sensible.

That problem at the Liverpool Everton match (http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2011/01/18/merseyside-derby-day-throat-slash-victim-speaks-of-his-terror-100252-28003999/)
-
But they're all cheeky chappie scousers who sit together at the match aren't they?
-
that is some scar.
hope the incident does not stop him going to the match.

Why would 3 blokes go outside to get the 6 year old son in ?

Why would 3 blokes go outside to get the 6 year old son in ?
and why would three blokes leave a 6 year old outside a pub (or anywhere) in the dark?

Think quite a lot of information is being left out of this story. So hard to judge ...
