Now I am fully aware of the giant Norwegians limitations but it has to be admitted that when two factors collide he can be devastating. Those two factors being; 1) A nice long rest prior to a match; 2) Playing against relegation standard or Championship opposition.
Well, he has had weeks with his feet up and he'll be playing against the Blose. If ever he is going to turn in a swan song performance it should be on Sunday. Two goals would be par for the course in these circumstances. If he's up for it (and if he gets on the pitch) I fancy him for at least one.
-
If he's up for it I'd fancy him against any defence in the country.
-
I'm readin you loud and clear Brett; I've had lot to drink tonight, but I'm reading you loud and clear, and I'm feelin it Brett, I'm really feelin it!
My GOD I HOPE YOU'RE CORRECT
But then again I am listening to soft cell say hello wave goodbye on you tube so maybe I have had alittle too uch tonight ......................
-
he certainly owes us a big performance this season. just looking arsed would be a start.
-
Come on John, be the hero again!
BIG JOHN RETURNS!
16.01.11.
REDEMPTION.
-
Indeed.
I just hope it does happen.
-
He's bigger than me and you!
In height; maybe!
In cock; maybe!
but in heart??????????????????????????????????????????????????
show me the money John! Come you you lofty big cocked basterd SHOW ME THE FUCKIN MONEY ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I'm guessing someone has had a good night.
-
Is he definitely starting then? I hope him and Ireland are on the bench at least.
-
Another chance to polish his undeserved superhero status. I hope he plays well. He bloody needs to.
-
Someone who is unplayable on his day, but can't be arsed to earn his money.
-

Yes. Couldn't agree more and that is why he should not be sold, particularly to the tesco bags. He might well be bigger than me and you but he still needs an arm around him, Come on JC you know you can do it!!!
-
http://www.sportinglife.com/football/live/reports/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=international_feed/07/08/22/SOCCER_Nor-Norway_Nightlead.html. Unplayable when he wants - unfortunately because of a shit stinking attitude it's not often enough.
-
If he had any pride, he'd play out of his skin.
I honestly don't think that he gives a shit though.
-
Is he actually available for Sunday?
-
yes he's back in the squad for tommorow, come on john give us a performance!!!!
-

I feel a hat-trick coming on. (Or is it a migraine).
-
Come on big man, Show the fuckers what they nearly had!!
-
Come on big JC you owe us a big performance you can do it show us what you can do.
-
Big John can make something happen out of nothing, and can give us a bit of unpredictability, which currently, we don't have. I'd plonk him up front with Gabby. We can't risk playing him on his own, because he just doesn't work enough. Get Gabby to do his donkey work, and Big John could have himself a field day...I hope.
I think he's still got plenty to offer this season. He'll go in the summer certainly, but selling him now, with only 2 weeks to find a class striker, would be insanity. Is insanity beyond Houllier? No.
-
He's due one of his once in-a-month-of-Sundays performances.

Long overdue! Would be great if he starts and is up for it. I can't see Hou selecting him though.
-
Two things which 'could' mean he wins us the game.
1) He loves the adulation from the fans - this is one way he would forever have that
2) If he is moving on then what better way of getting more money or a decent move than to play brilliantly in a game like this
-
Turn the sound off (trust me) and watch this:

If you think he'll get a hat trick, i'd suggest it's the effect of an E tab.
-
You can tell what sort of game he will have after about 20 minutes, I would not start him though.
-
Turn the sound off (trust me) and watch this:
Fuck me Leeg. Like a car wreck that I shouldn't look at but still do, I turned the volume up. And it was that twat.
-
With Dann being out of their team, JC could really have a go tomorrow... it depends on which JC turns up, the one who loves the club (pre GH) or the one who is just seeing out his contract and will be off soon!
-
Whilst I've lost all respect for Carew in recent months...I'd love to see him on the end of some of Albrighton's crosses tomorrow.
-
He usually starts playing just after Christmas and has a good run until the end of the season.
Lets hope this year is no different.
-
Turn the sound off (trust me) and watch this:
Hmmm, he strikes again. (Not Carew, him 'singing'... urgh)
-

Ireland????? get back on the meds!!!!! in a game like this,,,, my god

Its called a hard on !!!!

Apart from the ones coming through the ranks from the acadamy and reserves who do? You Osbourne and Salifou sit down un til you are shown the door.
-
Ireland is out injured,Carew will play but you could argue that Delfouneso is fitter than Carew and Gabby.
-
Big John will probably trot on for 20 minutes and do a bit of waving to the away end...and then trot off again...unbothered by his lack of effort. I could be wrong though and he will score 2 in the 7 minutes of injury time added on to win us the game 3-2. I have been drinking red wine.

We're strolling 2-0 with 10 minutes to go. He comes on, slows down the play and then scores a third to put the icing on the cake after a clinical counter-attack. His Villa career resurrected, he and Makoun go on to form a fantastic midfield pairing that sees us win the FA Cup and finish 6th.
Actually you're right. Pass me the pills.
-
Come on big John, dig deep for the Villa.
You gonna share them pills out Eamonn?
-
Oh well......
-
Didn't do too badly today, I thought. Not his fault that Collins especially seemed determined to smash the ball just too far for him to reach every single time.
