Hopefully he takes Steve Claridge with him.

The whitecaps have just joined MLS and moved to BC place stadium - the one that hosted the winter olympic ceremonies. They're owned by some mega rich internet chap I think.
The MLS superdraft is shortly to start - so it should be clear if he'll get to go. I think the whitecaps get first dips on new MLS players which is how they can choose him. Its an awesome city and if I was him I'd be packing right now....
-
Yes there is a God ..I don't have suffer the annoying twat on 5Live.
-
When Savage first starting appearing on 5 Live, despite myself, I actually quite liked him.
I now steer clear of 6-0-6 when he's on.

So did I, it was not long after the World Cup that he started believing he was the dogs bollocks when it comes to radio that he became annoying very quickly. A bit like when he started believing he was the dogs bollocks at football...
-
Oh Jesus, he is coming here... I'm heading for the hills!

Hahaha..good luck!

The sad thing is the uneducated sports follower in Canada will see him and think he is a regular footballer, there is no way the game will develop with him in the news!

He'll be a great signing for them too. The MLS isn't a tough league to play in and he'll fit right in. You're right about Vancouver though. I get to go there 4 or 5 times a year and it's really beautiful.

;D
-
Hate to say it, but he was actually a useful footballer, and I'd have had him in the team ahead of Gavin McCann anyway.

The phrase "damning with faint praise" was invented for that particular comparison.
-
I don't mind him in the media. An annoying oppinionated twat, yes but in an endearing way. Probably means more of that arsehole Green on FiveLive.
-
Ill-informed, self absorbed, vacuous, vain, puerile, spitefull, illiterate empty-headed know it all.
And a c**t as well.
-
Don't sit on the fence Nev
-
I wonder how long he will last out there.

Bang goes that "special relationship".
Good riddance.

No he wasn't. His game was based on winding the opposition up. If he got booked early he was anonymous.
-
???
-
He does love himself doesn't he!
-
What an absolute twat.
-
Have he forget it is long way from Wrexham
-
what a complete wanker.
-
He,ll be joining a long of players from the UK & Europe who have donned the Whitecaps Jersey with distinction over the years . I was a regular back in the late 70s & early 80s and when they played at the old Empire Stadium . Av home crowd of nearly 30.000 ! , tail-gate parties pre game ( & post game ! ) , fantastic atmosphere , very Family oriented .
One of the most memorable days of my Football life was when they beat the mighty New York Cosmos ( inc ex Villa man Steve Hunt ) in New York and won the NASL Trophy ......I,m coming over all misty eyed !...................Godzvilla!

Good ridance. Poor footballer, rude radio presenter.
-
What i would not give for:
a/ Baseball bat
b/ Dark room
c/ 5 minutes alone with him
Complete and utter wanker who has made a fortune from such little talent - really disappointed to this day that Dion did not put his pointy nose through the back of his head
Good riddance you cnut
-
One word....NOB
-
???
What a ******.
Is he breaking those teeth in for a horse?
-
Good riddance. He's a ******.
-
He was just on Central News visiting a local school with another Derby player when he managed to drop into the conversation that his own kid goes to a private school.
He really is a complete twat.

Oh, joy! When the Whitecaps come to play the Galaxy in LA I can don my old Villa shirt with 'DUBLIN 9' on the back and go heckle the annoyingly odious twerp.

Do it! And heckle the twat for 90 minutes.
-
Well. I can't decide whether he's sending himself up or is truly a complete and utter tosser. If there was money involved, I'd bet on the latter.
-
He's just announced on twitter that he's retiring at the end of the season.

But he's not going to play in Vancouver.
-
Hope he retires from radio too.

Imagine the training routine.
-
I suppose that means he will be even more exposed in the media, maybe sky see him as a replacement for Andy Gray!

Yeah, but when Savage says 'Take a bow, son' he'll be looking into the nearest monitor.
-
Bent looks a bargain at £18mil
-
We are rather pleased over here with this news. Especially as I have a whitecaps season ticket.
Looking forward to seeing JPA though
-
He's realised that in the company of 10 other players, the focus is not soley on him.
Now he can concentrate on the radio and turn a call from a Bury season ticket holder regarding their transfer policy into another conversation about Robbie Savage. Happy listening!
-
He's just announced on twitter that he's retiring at the end of the season.
I'm serious when I say that when he was younger, Savage was exactly the kind of player that Villa needed. Combative, a winder-upper and a far more skilful player that he was ever given credit for.
-
Would rather he kept playing through the lower leagues for a few more years.
I fear we will see and hear more of him than ever on the media. Heaven forbid he ever takes over from that nice Mr Lineker.
-
Why he's rated so highly in the media circles as an 'intelligent' commentator on football is beyond me. All he ever does is talk about himself and spit cliche after cliche out. He offers no more insight than a chimpanzee examining what's on the end of his finger after scratching his own arse.
-
Can't stand that girly-looking clown.
Since when was he rated as a football? His level was Blackburn Rovers.
I wish Dion knocked him out when he had the chance.
-
Slow, crap and a cheat.

Not sure if this is ironic from you Vancouver, but to reiterate Savage isn't going to be playing over there next season.
-

Hopefully he takes Steve Claridge with him.
and gary linikar and hanson as well

My thoughts too, I think the bloke only confirms what i've aleways thought about him and indeed was once told by a former team mate of his, he is a self centred wanker.
-

That sums it up quite nicely for me, though you're being a bit lenient on him, Nev.
-
F.O.R.S.
-
Thanks to Robbie Savage I now know I'm actually a bad person. The thoughts that entered my head when I heard he was retiring were based along the lines of 'damn, I was hoping he'd stay around a bit longer and pick up some form of horrible injury'. Im disappointed in myself for lowering myself enough to hate this clown, but he does make it very difficult not too.
-
Hope he stays as a radio pundit. Much better than the old school Mr Green redtosswank.
-
Savage twatted by ball whilst commentating at Villa Park

Any player who does a poo in the ref's dressing room is a bit of a dunderhead really.
