When do you reckon we'll bring a player in?
I reckon we can rule out January 1st-3rd due to week-end/bank holiday. Presumably you need somebody in the office to work the fabled fax machine and confirm deals.
I'll go for January 6th.
Votes after 31st December not allowed!

10th - 12th. Just a random guess.
-
I don't think GH will waste too much time. First week at some point. I'm going for two for sure deals, and 1 if the pieces fall into place, but quite late in the month.
-
I think he will send out an early message that the squad is changing a bit in January (he says with fingers crossed).
-
Jan 5th. Presented to the crowd at the Sunderland game.
-
It would be a pleasant change not to have to wait until the last seconds of the window, gurning over SSN and that bellend with his array of phones. I've plumped for January the 7th.
-
Our first post-MON transfer window. Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
-
Most of the Jan activity is last day
Why would this year be any different?
-
Well if GED is as well connected as some people on here say/think he should really be talking to players/clubs now with the objective to get them in asap
-
Jean II Makoun, from Lyon, on 11th January 2011.

And in January staying up with it until about 2 only to find we haven't signed a soul.

Jan 6th Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Then loan him back to the Saints on the 7th...win win!!
-
Hopefully within the first week.

Is that the chap who feels the need to shout all of the time?

-
chris samba with dunne going in the opposite direction on the 27th of january, just when the snow melts. hes only 26, looks 36.
-
10th - 12th.

Monday 3rd of January.
In completely un-MON like fashion I think we have two or three ready to go.
-
Wheater 4th Jan ............
-
Wheater 4th Jan ............
fook, time to book my flight then ;-)
-
Expecting three in with maybe 5 out, towards the end of the middle of January. Could be a few "loans with a view to a permanent transfer".
-
I'm expecting someone the papers haven't linked us with in the first week
-
Guess that either a City reject or someone from France or Germany as first signing, and later someone needing work-permit.
-
Chris Samba's handed in a transfer request, and I reckon we could do worse.

He's a good player, only 26, and he's a big hard bloke. Heowever he'd cost the best part of 6 or 7 mil I'd imagine. I think the link to Wheater is more realistic. A younger player coming to the end of his contract and with Gary Mac having a relationship with him.
-
3rd. Welcome Michael.
-
Jan 2nd and it isnt gonna be a certain steve sidwell or habib beye so everyone is a winner............
unless its the new zidane
-
bruno cheyrou is bigger than me and you.......hmmmm its gotta certain ring.
please please please let his first transfer be inspiring as it is what we all need.

-
I think it will be between the 10th and 12th i would like maybe 2 or 3 signings and 3 and 4 out but we will have to wait and see.
-
10th - 12th. Just a random guess.
I came to the same guess through the use of a highly complex equation fed through a computer program and reviewed by Mystic Meg.
-
Jay Bothroyd. Jan 11th.
-
Anytime before 20th Jan would be nice...god that's one thing I won't miss (hopefully), waiting and waiting and waiting....and having to watch Sky's countdown to the closing of the window until the last gubbins. Then waking up the next day to find Spurs and Man Yoo have made signings after the deadline as the fax jammed, ran out of ink / paper, phonelines were down...
-
Jay Bothroyd. Jan 11th.
Oof!

Didier Agathe, Jan 1st 00:01hrs
