Title: christmas Fixtures predictionator
Post by: Greg N'Ash on December 15, 2010, 11:54:06 AM
Right, there's no doubt that after the festive period we'll know whether we've got a relegation battle on our hands or we can start looking to finish as high up as possible. Heard many a dark muttering about the upcoming games but it doesn't look too bad to me

 Wigan v Aston Villa, 0-0

Aston Villa v Tottenham 1-1

Man City v Aston Villa 2-0

Chelsea v Aston Villa 1:0

Aston Villa v Sunderland 2:0

Reckon 5 points will keep us out the shit till players start returning/reinforcements arrive.  Anyone see it differently?

Aston Villa v Tottenham  1-2
Man City v Aston Villa 3-0

christmas? Humbug :(

Ignoring blose and fulham, wolves and wigan are the two clubs who could put pressure on us, and they play each other, wigan have arsenal, while wolves have liverpool and chelsea so i'm pretty confident we won't be too worried come mid-january

I think we're very capable of seven points from these games. Five should be the bare minimum expected of us.

Despite beating an impressive Tottenham side at home and snatching a point at the DW, The slump will continue through the winter, which will hopefully force Houllier into forking out for Titus Bramble and Joey Barton.

And they call us moaners.

Beat Wigan, Beat Spurs, narrowly lose to Citeh, get smashed at Chelsea, beat Sunderland.

I would bite your hand off for that right now. Especially to beat Spuds. The consecutive away games against Chelsea and Sheikhy will be a lot less daunting if we go into them having beaten Tottingham (with an 88th minute Stephen Ireland winner).

Aston Villa to win each match 2-0.

Goals and goal times?

I'm saving them for later.

Wigan 1 - 2 Villa
Villa 2 - 2 Spurs
Man City 3 - 1 Villa
Chelsea 1 - 1 Villa
Villa 2 - 1 Sunderland

8 points to bring our tally to 28 points.  Four more wins and we're safe.

Relegation?  What relegation?

(with an 88th minute Stephen Ireland winner).

Wake up.

To us Villa fans, Stephen Ireland is just a figment of our imagination, somehow created by the tabloids.  He never actually left Man City.
