Amazing how quickly ITV used to skim through the match reports back in the early 90s. Anyway i remember this game - a guy about three rows in front spent most of the day slaughtering Tommy Johnson, then of Notts County. I wonder what his feelings were when we signed him four years later? I do believe Draper played for them that day too. A typical BFR team performance that day, great football but a bit of trouble converting it to goals. Four straight wins and we were incredibly being talked of as title contenders but a week later Leeds came along and smashed us 4-1. This was also the season where we just could not score a goal - we went about 7-8 games and only scored the once.

Great find! This was the first time I stood on the Holte with my mates, after several years of sitting in the Trinity with my Dad. The only thing I can remember is everyone down the front mercilessly taking the piss out of Steve Cherry and the naff goalie top he had on. It looked like he'd picked it up off a market stall for £1!

Is that what they used to call 'highlights'?!

Maybe that is the only good thing SKY have done, bringing extended highlights from each game!

MOTD used to skim through the half a dozen matches not involving big teams aswell. I think they generally get it bang on with regards to highlight coverage these days.
Oh and nice turn and shot by Dwight, keeper probably should have kept it out though.

I remember that match. Christ, seeing Notts County in the top division, that takes me back!
