10?!

Do they expect to lose and are saving themselves for an easier/crucial game at the weekend á la Wolves last season or is Ollie pissed off with how their lot performed last game?

We've not been as bad as form suggest, and I think we're due a glut of goals. Maybe Ollie has written this game off, or just wants fresh legs to counter our youth, exuberance and pace.

They got a decent draw with Everton at the weekend and were a tad unlucky Marlinios goal was ruled out. I hope this means they are throwing in the towel early and wont be taking any points away from Villa Park.
If we don't win this one I think I'll crack up.

The first. They are playing the spammers on Saturday.

Harewood is playing so he will score.

Is Kingson that useless Ghanaian guy who was at Blose and Wiggum?

well after 10 changes and 6 players making their prem débuts we better win convincingly. They have even had the good manner to leave their best players on the bench.

10 changes and they look the better team, fuckin embarassing. We're playing against their reserves and we still can't keep the ball or control and dominate a match. I have to say we look a very poor and very limited side despite what happens in the 2nd half.

Ireland has to come on, this midfield is not working and we do not have the luxury of leaving a centre midfielder with Premier League experience on the bench. Also put Downing and Albrighton on their correct sides. We have to win this.

Oh and how many times have our defence parted like the red sea this season? It happened a few times on saturday when their players were in through on goal.

I don't think Delfouneso is good enough either, i've never been impressed by him when i've seen him.

I have to say that I am not remotely surprised.  We are nowhere near good enough at the moment.  BUT, I think we were punching above our weight under MON given the players we have.  For that MON deserves some credit, but only some..... as he signed them in the first place.  Come on Villa let's win this FFS!

Least of our problems, I know, but I feel that the Fonz needs to up his work rate a bit. There is not nearly enough pressure on their center backs and this is allowing them to calmly set up the attack.

Been saying all week the Hare would come back to haunt us.

Just got in so haven't read the thread so far. Don't know if anyone already mentioned it but there's great HD coverage of the game at www.espn3.com...and it's free.

Sorry if you already knew this.

Thanks for this.  Do I have to register - doesn't seem to be a lot going on when I click the link?  Can't view the other streams mentioned as they aren't compatible with Mac OS

We have the first booking of the match at Eastlands - and Paul Scholes is the man to have his name taken after a series of niggly fouls. That's his fifth of the season so he will miss Saturday's game at Aston Villa.

We aren't far of being a dangerous side you know. Some of the attacking football we play is superb. We need a striker and a holding midfielder and we could be pretty potent. The kids are looking great.

We are, but it's back to the counter-attack football from a couple of years ago.

I was amazed to see that we had something like 41% of the possiesion against Fulham.....

Hoofing it is fine as a tactic, hoofing it as your main tactic is a problem, there defence looks lost, not getting it up there quick in this game would be naive.
