Someone sent me this link, and I found it quite interesting. Shame some of the photos have been deleted.
The state of some is unbelievable considering the photos aren't that old, well not to me anyway! Strange to think how few of these grounds/stands still exist.

Some fantastic ones there. Its facinating to see how grounds have come on in about 15 years.
-
I've seen those before, they are great.
Plenty more on that forum as well.

Fantastic photos but his dates are all over the place. No way did Newcastle's St James Park look like that in 1999 and the New Trinity Road Stand had not been built when we played Leeds in the FA Cup in 2000. Amazing pics though.

By the looks of it, he edited a lot and added more pics to old posts after grounds had built new stands etc.

Some of those old terraces still bring back memories of aggro which was ever present; the Lever End at Bolton being one of them.
That Players Tunnel at Vale Park was to have been the centre piece of the Wembley Of The North.

If you think those look like old grounds check out this clip for Valley Parade, Brad ford City v Gainsborough Trinity the later who are of course managed by Brian Little.

I really like looking at photo's of old ground's nostalgia.

Deepdale looked particularly grim on those photos. Thanks for posting, thoroughly enjoyable few minutes that

You can hear Adrian Chiles talking shite on that video, Bradford City switched from Rugby League, not Union.

And you can see cdvillafan fucking up a quote in the above post.

Grim? I thought it looked fantastic, that place had so much character. It is grim now though.
Looking through them all brought back some great memories and makes me glad I was born when I was, and got to visit most of them as they're pictured on there. Every ground had something unique about it, and every one was special in its own way.

Really enjoyed looking through those photos. Some crackers from the days when we all stood around on crumbling terraces and had to piss against a wall with a gutter at the bottom that collectively created the male toilet.

Have a look a look of these pics:

Brilliant pictures....so sad and yet so many great memories at the same time.

Cheers Tony. Incredible pics, really. Deserve their own thread, a lot of people will miss seeing them.

How the feck people didn't die the day we were all crammed into the corner of that old stand at Swindon (page 3) on promotion day 1988 still amazes me. I was also in the infamous crush at Upton Park (1991?), I still shudder to think what might have transpired had there been perimeter fencing preventing the overspill onto the pitch.
It's nice to look back at some the old grounds and reminisce, but a lof them were death traps and bettter off consigned to rubble.
