I hate these bastards. As much as Messrs. Woodhall and Upton are not too fond of West Brom.

0-2 away win.

Heskey 34
Young (A.) 39

Some of their defending was comical yesterday, as was some of ours tonight. But I never look at Wolves and think any of their players are unplayable on their day. Some of ours are.

0-1 Villa

Young (A.) 62

Aye I'm not too fond of the dirty Dingle scum either.

I think with a few key players coming back we should be able to compete with the kick and smash merchants and also craft enough space and chances for a good away win. Last season we just smashed our heads up against a brick wall and found it so difficult on their narrow pitch. Ireland playing in the hole should give us some variety in the centre. As I say, a good away win for us here.

I do not like Wolves. Never had. A Sunday walk through that almost empty City Centre on a Sunday feels like you have entered a scene from Dawn of the Dead. There is about two miles between the stand and the pitch and the corners of the ground have (had?) grass. Weird. 3-1 Villa, the GH revolution continues.

As deplorable as that is, I can't help thinking some of our meat heads would act similar if Paul Tait scored at VP and lifted his shirt in front of us to show a t-shirt with keep right on written on it.
Lee Hughes, still a twat.

As for match prediction, 1-1 if Carew starts, 2-1 if Super Ivanhoe starts.

Kevin Doyle has looked good in recent games so we will need to mark him closely. I think we'll win, 2-1.

Does GH have a selection headache now? Who should start based on last night's performance?

Personally I would leave Dunney out and leave Cueller in the side. I'd also have NRC and Petrov behind Ireland. Downing and Ashley on the wings with Heskey (or Gabby if he's fit) leading the line.

Young---------Collins---------Cuellar-------Warnock

----------Reo Coker----------------Petrov

------------------------Ireland
Albrighton---------------------------------------Young

------------------------Heskey

Guzan, Clark, Lichaj, Bannan, Downing, Carew, Delfouneso

Once again, it'll be interesting to see what team/formation Gezza picks, but I think we'll keep things roling and beat them anyway.  I like Mazrim's team above, but doesn't he prefer two strikers?  We played that way last night and he normally sent 4-4-2 at Liverpool from memory.

We had two forwards last night but only one seemed to be playing as a striker.

I hope he leaves Albrighton out again, he's suffered from being overplayed and his performances have declined.

Have no issues with Wolves at all -  never had the kind of inferiority complex that Tescos and indeed SHA have. Have many friends that are Wolves fans and if I didn't support the greatest Team in the World, I might have been one.

However, would love to stuff them 2-0 Villa

I've got no problems with Wolves, they are the only other Midlands club with a proper history but I accept it depends which side of town you are from or based in. They gave us two tough games last season but I think we can win this one. I'd like to see Cuellar given a run alongside Collins regardless of Dunne's fitness and if Gabby is out I'd like to see Delfounso given a start. I fancy us to win by the only goal.

For example if Ash is as effective in the middle then sorry but Irelands on the bench,

For me NRC has to play every league game.

I guess the BBC are quoting 14:05 as that's the actual kick-off time (at least that's the time on the ticket)! If Sky see Newcastle/Stoke at 4:00 as a Super Sunday they really have lost the plot.

My first away game of the season and not really fancying it to be honest. Wolves can bully teams when they want to and it will be interesting to see who Houllier picks in the middle to stand our ground. I'll go for 2-2, with our second coming immediately after the Dingles start doing that silly high-pitched/kiddy chant 'Villa,Villa'

Urgh, Dogheads... another team and club I despair just like Stoke. Horrible small club with chavvy fans, deluded owners and a thuggish team who can't get a result without trying to paralyse the opposition.

We need to teach them a lesson after they got lucky in their two cup finals last season... a Villa win hopefully - 1-2 with Heskey and Ash scoring.

The game at Molinuex last season was awful. Sidwell's stupid tackle for the penalty was the only way they were going to score. We were a lot stronger at the back though last season plus Fletcher has been a good signing for them.

Still though I'm confident. Wolves had to go to extra time midweek and we had a morale boosting come from behind win. Massive decision at centre half does Houllier let Dunne know he is number one and play him or go with the form guys Cuellar and Collins. No brainer at full back Young and Warnock. No way should Albrighton start on that cabbage patch, this game will be a war for the first half hour so would definitely have him on the bench. Thought he was dire against Bolton anyway. Even though moving Young into the hole on Wednesday worked well I'd start him off wide right against Stephen Ward with Ireland supporting Heskey and Downing left. They could rotate as required, I'd be interested to see how the two young Irish full backs Foley and Ward do against them. Id go for Sidwell and Reo Coker as two holding midfielders too. No harm letting the likes of Petrov, Dunne and gabby know that there is a new guvnor in town and all that matters is performances on the pitch.

------------Friedel--------------
Young, Cuellar, Collins, Warnock,
------Reo Coker, Sidwell-----------
A Young, Ireland, Downing
-----------Heskey---------

I agree with most of that, although leaving Heskey on the bench might suggest to him that he's got to do a lot more than play well for half hour to just walk straight back into the team.

Should beat Wolves. We're the better team, but we need NRC and Sidwell to stiffen the midfield and protect the back 4. Which means that it may be a defensive hard fought game, therefore very few goals goals, if any at all. I think we're looking at a draw. 0-0 I think, which won't be disaster.

Would have Petrov over Sidwell every day of the week.  I find it almost inconceivable that we would leave out our captain unless it was for a player who was playing outstandingly, which certainly isn't Sidders, he's been pretty useless for about 3 years now.

Worst game of football I've seen in years. Obviously the weather conditions never helped but we're so much better than that.

As others have mentioned, we need to step it up and hopefully the team will be up for it big time. Tough game, Wolves are improving but we should have too much for them. Stick to our plan, don't allow them to bully us and I think we'll take the 3 points.

Petrov and Ireland will get completely outfought and overrun in midfield, NRC has to play imo. He's not the best passer but it wont be that sort of game, we need him getting stuck in because Ireland won't do that and Petrov is knackered by half time. Downing will go hiding and shit himself as usual aswell, pansy.

tbf, Ireland has got stuck in with his tackling and defensive duties since he's joined... I don't think anyone can really criticize him for that part of his game.

I'd like to see Houllier play Cuellar and Collins in defence, Petrov and Coker in midfield with Ireland just playing off the striker. I don't know though... it will be interesting to see the manager's team selection.

If Petrov folds, like he did against Newcastle, then we will be in trouble.

Would like to downgrade my 2-1 win to a 1-1 draw.

We're usuallyfcuking useless at taking advantage when other teams around us drop points.

The most interesting thing will be team selection and lets face it no one has any idea what it will be, i think he will go 4-5-1 to start but i have no idea who will play I dont think he will start with any one that isnt fully fit

A win would take us into 5th place above Baggies on goal difference (assuming Newcastle dont beat Stoke)...and we're due an away win. A scrappy 1-0 will do for me.

Come on Villa!!!

Watching that Angel finish, the final one, is funny.  See the way he just passes it into the net.  Natural.  Injuries aside he could've been a sensational player.  Imagine him and Nillis up front together, would've been pretty formidable.

Also makes me think we haven't moved forward as much as I'd thought, the side isn't all that different in potency - maybe two steps forward one back so to speak.   Although seeing O'Leary in a Villa context makes me shudder.  What an utter, utter cnut that man was.

Anyway, it's about time we humiliated the dog heads again.  4-0.

It is a shame Angel doesn't play with our midfield these days with Bannan, Young, Downing, Ireland, Albrighton as he would love our services. Good video.

Mick McCartney would have a hard time knowing what system to play against Aston Villa as he won't know what Gerard will do :)

He'll still give out orders to Karl Henry to paralyse Ashley Young.

I'm very much looking forward to my first ever trip to Molineux tomorrow. I think It'll be 2-2. Jarvis 13, Doyle 36. Young pen 70, Heskey 76.

If we don't stiffen up the midfield tomorrow we'll be bullied out of it but I'm hoping free Sky Sports Sunday coinciding with a Villa game is a good omen.

I remember that Wolves game very well. I think we had 9 corners on the first 10 minutes.

As for Angel, we got rid of him a season too early i reckon.

I've seen Henry a few times walking about town, next time I see him I'll two footed tackle the ******. :)

Currently sat outside Starbucks in lovely downtown Wolverhampton.

The best thing I can say about it is that it's not as bad as Stoke.

I've only ever been here at night before (for gigs) and must say it's far better in the dark when you can't see the place as well !!

I agree wholeheartedly. Stoke is a filthy toilet pot. Burnley is a complete scutter bowl too.

Lovely bunch (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-11387678)

As deplorable as that is, I can't help thinking some of our meat heads would act similar if Paul Tait scored at VP and lifted his shirt in front of us to show a t-shirt with keep right on written on it.
Lee Hughes, still a twat.

As for match prediction, 1-1 if Carew starts, 2-1 if Super Ivanhoe starts.

Finally, I got one right!
