Are Inter going to do a Fabregas on us?
Rafa Benitez mulling over shock bid for Aston Villa youngster Gary Gardner as Inter Milan line up top English talent (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1310102/Inter-Milans-Rafa-Benitez-mulling-shock-bid-Aston-Villa-youngster-Gary-Gardner.html?)
-
I've just been reading that article
-
Cheeky bastid!
Not Chico...(though he probably is), Rafa.
-
We asked for £18m when FSW wanted Barry, so I think we should ask the same for Gary just to piss him off!
-
I still don't get why people are looking at the Daily Mail?
-
I still don't get why people are looking at the Daily Mail?
Because they'd sold out of of the Daily Sport by the time I got to the newsagent this morning
-
I still don't get why people are looking at the Daily Mail?
Maybe because they want to read it? Maybe someone would not understand why you look at whatever paper it is you look at?
-
I still don't get why people are looking at the Daily Mail?
Because immigrants with cancer have been having sex with underage animals and people want to know about it. ALRIGHT?

Absolutely - after all, they might be benefit scroungers!!
-
I still don't get why people are looking at the Daily Mail?
They're probably just following a link fron Newsnow rather than signing up to eat the poor.
-
I still don't get why people are looking at the Daily Mail?
Because they are racist

So...back to the story...
Rafa can jog on, young Gary and Delph are the future of the Villa midfield, well until Man City come knocking so they can boast of the entire England team playing in sky blue
-
Yeah £18m to you, You fat fuck
-
Its newsnow that gets me reading all sorts of sites I have never heard of normally - Lets hope Gary like all of our good young players are "firewalled" and kept and only sent out on loan to get valuable experience
-

Or until we sit him on the bench for three seasons and then he decides he was a blues fan all along and signs for the shit.
-

"Gerard, now you're Villa manager, we'd like you to start off by giving give Rafa Benitez a call, here's what to to say..."
-
He's always was supported Inter you know. Used to go to games.
-
Being reported on Sky now:
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6365106,00.html? (http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6365106,00.html?)

"can i have that ferrari for 15 pence and a paella, senor?"
"fuck off... twat"...
-
He is a lot more talented than his brother. He could go a very long way young Gary.
-
I would not sell him he is the future for us keep him and tell the fat spanish waiter to fcuk off.
-

he does look very good... the thought of him and delph in the central roles is one that is potentially very exciting...
however, both have to come back from serious injuries, and that will knock their progress, if they fully recover at all...
-
So what kind of player is he as I never seen him play yet.
-

He has a better shot then his brother and can play football. And apparently he is the Villa fan in his family. (from what people were saying when Craig left).
-
I know his cousin. She told me Craig was a nose years ago (I said it on here but got shot down at the time), she says the whole family are but obviously support their kids.
Can't see this happening unless he won't sign a new deal (which at his age he'd be silly not to), we wouldn't sell unless it was big money, surely? And Inter wouldn't put £5m (ballpark figure) down on an 18year old yet to make an appearance.
-
Heard good things about him.......is it Mazrim who has been raving about him?
Thought that Craig was an ok player but lacked pace, it seems Gary is quicker and a better footballer.....sounds ok to me, but when is he and Delph fit?
-
I wonder how the FSW came to know of Gary, as a fan I've not seen him yet, but then I don't watch the reserves.
-
Why on earth have we let his contract run into it's last year?
-

I'm not a racist, however I do like reading about the poor, I even went on a bus recently!

It is
Where is Mazrim & Greg for that matter?
-
Hmmm, I think Villa fans would like to see young Gary play first... like, maybe coming off the bench? He might not be at Albrighton's or Delfouneso's level yet to play in the first team, but he will be soon I'm sure. From what I see and hear he's a better player than his lying loser of a brother.

What are the facts on Gary then?
-
Is Gary an Inter Milan fan ?
-
Is Gary an Inter Milan fan ?
no, but it can be arranged
-
Hopefully Mr Houllier will encourage the youngsters like Gary to come through as he did in his academy in France, and then he'll feel he does not have to look elsewhere for a chance.
That rhymes.

Translation error here. rafa said he wanted an english Gardener to look after his new Villa in Milan. Somehow Daily Mail stupid fuckwits put togather english and Villa and Gardner and came up with this story!

GG has played for England Under 17's and Under 19's and is well rated as a Youth Player and has been mentioned as eqivalent to Jack Wilshere as the next big thing. I would have been surprised if the FSW hadn't known about him TBH

What i dont understand is why the club lets our best or most promising players contracts wind down without offering them new deals before they can basically force their ways out i.e milner and barry. Gardner will hopefully be top notch for us but he has less than a year left on his deal with villa so can talk to who he likes come Jan.

I can agree with Gary but both Barry and Milner had two years to run on their contracts when they tried to force a move and both were offered contracts to stay. But there was no way we could really match the Man Citeh wages being offered. Or are you saying we should be offering new contracts and pay rises one year into 4 year contracts.

Yes, but you've got to remember he's only 18 and while I sincerely hope he recovers from his injury and then goes on to become a world superstar for us, it's not something I'd be prepared to bet the farm on. This story is quite franckly BS. If Gardner looks like he's recovered from his injury soon, he'll be offered a contract, and I'd be pretty sure he'll sign it. If he goes on to prove he can hack it in the PL he'll be offered another one and will sign it, if he goes on to become a superstar then he'll be offered another contract and may or may not sign it depending on whether or not Villa 'match his ambitions' or some such player jargon for 'give me more money'. The kid has got great potential but we can't go round offering top paying contracts to every kid with potential; he could very easily go the way of the Moores yet. This is by no means a dig at the kid, but we can't expect the club to go round throwing moey and contracts at people like confetti; we're not Man City you know...

Before his injury was scoring some top notch goals for fun and a league above his brother already ....
