Apologies if this is posted elsewhere, but have just seen that after training with PSV over the summer, Bouma has signed a permanent deal with them:

It will be interesting to see how he gets on following his injuries, but this seems to be a good move for him as he has an affinity for the club.
-
good stuff...
-
Good move for him. Haven't they just sold their old left back?
I'd have liked him to stay but I'm not sure if his fitness was good enough.
-
Shame Martin got rid, would have liked to have a back up left back before the season starts. and not Habib!!

I think we should have tried him out before releasing him. Thanks MON.
-
Good for him. But I thought he was knackered, as in permanently unable to play at the top level.
Anyway, as I say the very best of luck to him, he deserves some.
-
I am glad to see he has got over is injury's now.
-
Good luck to him, hopefully he can get back to his best.
-
my favourite villa player during the time he played,
hope he a few good seasons left in him
-
Good luck to him.
-
All the best to him, hope he returns to old fitness, was starting to appreciate him when he got injured.

Can still picture the injury now, was sat in the North stand at the time. Hope he gets back to some form and fitness.
-
top man freddie, always gave his all
-
Still sorry we let him go but I wish him all the very best at PSV.
BOUMA, BOUMA!
-
Good player, shame about the injuries. "Boom, boom, boom, let me hear you say Bouma!"
-
Yes, good luck and a good player, though never quite as great for me as some others thought.
-
Delaney Mellberg Laursen Bouma
Some backline that would've been. Freddie, all the best.

It would have been Young-Mellberg-Laursen-Bouma for a season maybe if not for MON.
Good luck Freddie!

uh? Is Martin now being blamed for Mellberg going when his contract was up and one of the biggest named clubs in Europe wanted him. And is he also being blamed for injuring Bouma so he was out for almost 18 months.
