Something that really touched me today.
There's one bloke I always talk to at the match. The thing we have most in common is our opinion of the Albion, although I do think he's a bit extreme towards them. I don't know his name, I only know him as Dave's brother. His brother, Dave, died about three years ago.
Anyway, I was talking to him today and he said it was his first match this season. "I ay bin well," he said. "I got lung cancer and they took it out three weeks ago. Me daughter said I wouldn't be back here before Christmas but I said I would." And he was.
Nice one, Dave's brother.

Well I'm glad he saw us win.
I don't imagine he's the sort of bloke who'd put himself forward for those Best Villa Fan awards either.
-
Yes fair play to the guy.
-
Respect indeed. Just as well he didn't have a heart problem, I doubt he would have lasted the 90 minutes.
-
That takes some guts respect indeed

Crikey.

You have guys like this. And then you have Charles Nzogbia not happy that the Blues are only able to offer him £40k per week as opposed t o his last minute demand for £50k per week. And then people wonder why people are walking away in their droves.

Nice to see him fighting on. If only some of our players (Downing) had a bit of fight.
-
I ham pleased we won that would of made him feel better.

His name is Peter (don't know his surname) and he sits in front of me in DE Lower. A relative who had his ticket for the West Ham match told us he was poorly and it certainly was a surprise when he arrived today. Lovely to see him - knew he must have been poorly to miss the opening match as I can't recall him missing one for donkeys years.

In his sixties (maybe), with a beard and a very Black Country accent?

I think we all needed pacemakers after Sunday!
