It was winter and cold, and he had a hat on. I said to the Mrs, in a jealous tone of voice, "what the fuck does someone that young do to drive a car like that?", then only as i passed him did I realise it was Martin Laursen.

Strange. I always find seeing footballers away from football grounds a bit weird.

He wasn't angry or sad that he could no longer play, he was appreciative of the good times, the special times he had wearing the claret and blue.

Great player, even greater man. Happy birthday fella. We won't forget you.
