Picked this up on another football forum I post on:
What connects the following football teams?
Monaco, FC Zurich, Roma, Lazio, Qatar SC, Gateshead, Lausanne Sports, Djurgardens, Skeid and Shanghai East Asia
No prizes, just the satisfaction of being either clever or knowing which other forums I post on and looking there!
-
Or the ability to use Google?
-
I know! (http://nonleaguematters.co.uk/forum/gforum.cgi?post=258214)

They are wrong on Shanghai East Asia, though, certainly on current matches. Shanghai Shenhua ,the city’s current team, was once upon a time known as Shanghai East Asia, but went through various reincarnations after the cultural revolution (during which football was banned in China) until it became lumbered with the current moniker.
Shanghai Shenhua play at the 30k ish capacity Hongkou stadium in the north of the city, with no athletics track, whereas the international athletics is held at the Shanghai Stadium in the south. Its unofficial name is the 80,000 seater stadium but when I went to last year’s IAAF athletics meeting the ticket office told me it holds 65,000. Go figure.
It may well be possible that at some point both sports were not held in the same stadium of course, but definitely not today.
