I dunno where to ask this but its been bugging me for a while. Can anyone tell me the music villa play at the start of a game when they come out the tunnel? Thanks for your help :).
-
Craig Armstrong - Escape (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhP6F-vxeZI)
-
Thank you :)
-
I never knew that either, I wonder who chose it?
-
It's not that bad.
-
I love the song aswell as o fortuna it's possibly the best entrance music for a sport, I don't know of any others like it except requiem of a dream If that's how it's spelt :P.
-
It's the accoustics that are bad, the music rocks ( well, you know what I mean !).
Get rid of 'hi ho silver lining' as we come of the pitch though, it's Wolves ffs !
-
I absolutely hate it - kills the atmosphere & and makes it sound like a cathedral.
Edit:- I'm on about our entrance music
-
Don't we have a fans forum to discuss such issues? I'd like to attend that becuase I think the music is shocking, as is the amplification. It's never been any good down there IMO
-
I prefered Arcade Fire when it was played a few seasons back.
Due a change anyway as we've had Escape for a while.
-
I hated Arcade Fire. Would like "Children of the Grave" by Black Sabbath but so long as they avoid indie and Robbie bloody Williams I'm not too bothered.
-

Escape? No it isn't, it's from the Plunkett & Macleane soundtrack.
-
At least it's not high ho aston villa by dave chance.
*shudders*
-
I have never heard that track before - as it SHOULD be heard (not massively distorted and properly amplified. It is as completley different piece of music and surprisingly I like it.
Whenever I have heard it at VP though my only reaction was why did someone choose that horrendous music.

Why did we never adopt The Liquidator.....real in your face anthem ...
But then again Villa Pk is a library at times or Church

You're right but there again that theme tune is usually associated with shitty clubs and shitty towns. At least when Chelsea took it on they added something different.

Wasn't that the Tesco Bags anthem way back in the 70's
-
Bring back the old piano tune from the 70s I say

I'm guessing that you've not noticed that the title of the video you've linked is:

I did notice, but it does not alter the fact that it is the soundtrack for - Movie: 300 - which is all I said. I never actually disputed vwhat you had said

It isn't, it's a piece of music from a different film that has been used in the trailer for 300.
'300' Soundtrack (http://www.amazon.com/300-Original-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack/dp/B000MTDRDG) as composed by Tyler Bates. Nothing by Craig Armstrong and definitely no 'Escape'.
According to the ever-reliable Wikipedia, it's also been played over the trailer for Daredevil and Spiderman 2. Because a trailer is often released before the full music for a film's music has been fully composed they use an older piece of music. As has happened in this case. It's not the soundtrack for 300 at all.
-
No mention of Black Sabbath yet?
-
Jehova, Jehova, Jehova!
Song titles only please. For example "Into the void"

And Chelsea. It's therefore a big no from me.
