Satan Hodge is on the drivetime show...hopefully confessing to the backpass on the hand of god goal in 1986...listen at own risk.
-
He's publicising his book!
test
-
Last time I heard him talking about his time at Villa he claimed that he thought we were better than we were and that he was young and naive.
Can someone phone in and ask why he's pictured on the front cover of the book playing for Forest, Spurs, Leeds, etc, but not playing for Villa.

Really? Someone's gonna buy that piece of s##t??

I've got an appointment at a pulping plant...

Him or the book?

Nice one.
-
He's been on SSN most of the day too.
-
He was on SSN earlier.
-
It was on Five Live the other day too.
I wondered why it had emerged from the ooze and decided to walk the earth once more amongst decent men.
Would any of its old clubs supporters even remember or like it enough to buy this tome of infamy? Only Villa fans still mention it.
-
He also made the worst England XI of all time on BBC 3 the other night if anyone saw it? Bound to repeat it in the coming weeks
-
Not available on the I-Player, unfortunately.
-
id say check this page for updates: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00skyh9
was quite a gud watch bar the narrator not being able to pronounce Fashanu properly. Also features some archive Tony Daley footage scoring at the Holte End in our first Hummel shirt
-
I saw that programme, were very unkind to Sir Graham, yes things werent great under him,but he had some important players injured and maybe had the worse generation of players in years to pick from. Didnt like the quote from the programme ' even gave caps to players like Tony Daley'
-
I think I dislike him even more now.
-
I'd love to steal his prized Maradonna's shirt from him. That would uspet the fat faced sack of monkey poo etc etc
-
And i remember defending him in the summer of 86 for that back pass as my brother and kids at school would have a go at me because he played for us.

Off on a tangent here but I caught the 50 greatest world cup moments on BBC3 last night and there amongst all the nonentities was our wonderful former manager Mr O'Leary.
-
Christ, can you imagine what a riveting read his book is.
I was a promising player at Forest, signed for Villa and enjoyed a great year battling relegation, had a great world cup in 86 and engineered a move to Spurs where I spent most of the time on the bench before being dumped back to Forest where I was mainly average. Then I tumbled down the leagues with a succession of smaller clubs.
Can't wait to grab it.

You missed out the bit where he amazingly won a league championship medal. Hodge won more medals than Alan Shearer.
-
Speaking as someone who was 4 years old the season we signed him, can someone please explain to me exactly what he did to merit such contempt.
-
Saw him on SSN.
He now looks like Ron Dixon from Brookside.

Try this (http://www.heroesandvillains.info/discuss/viewtopic.php?t=36810) from the Memories section.

Heard him on the Five Live World Cup leaving party (or whatever it was called) last night. Fair play to Peter Shilton, Terry Butcher and Peter Reid, they were all pretty entertaining with their stories from the 86 World Cup. Hodge was just a humourless cock. Hodgey must go, Hodgey must go....still true over 20 years on.
-
Why is Ron Greenwood never considered the worst ever England manager? He was shite.
-
The bloke's a nob of the highest order.
His only claim to fame is nicking Maradona's shirt.
I remember his cringeworthy 'interview' on the pitch after he signed from Forest, as soon as he was called up by England he did'nt want to know, then came that backpass........
Sums him up really... a footballing nobody..
-
Can I again tell my story about when Hodge was hosting a phone in on TalkSport about the worst ever performances on a football field and his co-presenter read out my abusive text about the Norwich game.
Well can I?
-
Please do.
-
Please do, PW.
And did anyone ask my question on the phone in last night?

Sorry yes I forgot about his invisible man years at Leeds Utd. Didn't Shearer win the Premier League with Blackburn?

Managed West Ham.

Is the correct answer.

Yeah, but that is his only medal.
You know who also won a couple of League Cup medals with Forest I think.
-
And as any Coventry fan will tell you, an FA Cup runners-up medal.
Mind you, Shearer's got two of those...
-
Whatever.
Shearer was a player, Hodge was a journeyman no-mark.
-
While he was a low-life piece of reptillian filth, journeymen don't have the sort of career he did.

I would class 8 different clubs as a bit of a journey, but granted a fabulous lifestyle.
