I was sitting around thinking the other day when i thought about our best ever team. Im not very old so my team wouldnt really stretch far back! But if you could take players from the past and put them in their prime then what would be your best team?

If I may have 7 subs as its present day:-

And as this is complete fantasy,im allowed to convert the whole of the holte end, lower witton, lower trinity and lower north stand into terracing, thus allowing the 70,000 to get in who would want to watch them every week.

A few of those are just a fraction before my time, but I do like the look of that side. Has a bit of everything. Attacking fullback (Gidman) before they were in vogue. Targetman (Gray). Midfield lynchpin (Mortimer). Second or 'link' striker (Little).
Would you not have Mortimer in the middle and Cowans on the left though? Mortimer as the midfield powerhouse bombing through the centre, with Sid linking up with Morley et.c.

Jesus, this is really difficult. I could give you 4 or 5 teams and still not be sure which one I thought was best!

Far too much Milner. He's still a lot to prove before being put alongside Platt, Cowans, Mortimer...even Taylor or Townsend.
