I think, option (d), could've been great. Admittedly the spitting wasn't very pleasant. Mind you, the Noses still love Dugarry. Then again, they're scum.

What would you have liked as option D?

Maybe that's a bit long, better leave it as it is!

I loved Savo, he was one of my favourite players.

He was much better than he was given credit for, especially when you look at all our strikers since then. I mean Gabby's return in a season is along the same lines as Savo's

I liked Savo, but in his early days he didn't get called Misalot for nothing. He was guilty of some really bad misses, but i will always remember him for the wembly goal.

Liked him, missed a lot of chances but was always in the right place to miss them.

His Villa career was perfectly cyclical.

Remember his first game when he tried to chuck his bandana into the Holte but he missed. Just like, at the end of his Villa days, when he tried to spit at Villa fans at Blackburn.......and missed. I was half way back to Blackburn station by that time.

I actually felt a tad sorry for him. My Savo memory is seeing him in the players' lounge after a game against Chelsea and all the Villa players totally ignoring him. He was like a lost sheep

Not quite the player we thought we'd bought, but was an integral part of that wonderful 95/96 team.

The spitting, whether actual 'at' the fans or not, was just a sad end. I prefer to remember another incident at Ewood Park - when he scored his first goal for the club at the Town End and then ran length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Villa fans at the Darwen End.  That, and a certain long range effort against Leeds...

I liked him as have been mentioned his first goal for us at Blackburn, his goal at Wembley and another for me was his hattrick against Coventry which were his first goals at Villa Park.

I always thought he was never suited to our League I think it was too quick for him he looked far better when he played abroad.

You wished MON had re-signed him for £32 Million this summer, and will therefore add that to your list of never forgives!

That was a fantastic memory. We were quite near the front and after what seemed an age of celebrating Bozzie came over and grabbed him saying "Come along now, they've kicked off"..or something like that.

Hat trick at VP against Cov and THAT goal against Leeds.

Could fluctuate between both within the same movement.

But I loved him.

I personally loved him, I think he had the potential to be alot better than he was, my little brother is even nicknamed Savo as he had it on the back of his shirt when he was a very small child, so much that their are only a handful of people who actually know his real birth name lol, he is Savo to his family, Savo to his mates and he was even Savo to his teachers at school and now to his employers! BOOM BOOM BOOM LET ME HERE YA SAY SAVO! SAVOOOOOOOO!

I liked him, good footballer and leader of the line with that little spark of Eastern European unpredictability

We'll always have Wembley '96 and for that alone I'll have a soft spot for the bloke.

Just a pity it ended as it did.

With a bit more mental resolve and adapdability he could have been one of our all time greats. As it was, he was a very good footballer that we never quite got the best out of.

We did see flashes though.

Seen an interview when he was at Zaragoza or Parma and he was very complimentary about the club, even the fans believe it or not.

In contrast to Collywobbles, who was supposedly a boyhood fan but seemingly got no joy playing for us. Seems we were a huge letdown after all his trophy-laden (?) years playing at Liverpool, alongside world-class talent like Razor Ruddock, Mark Wright, Phil Babb and Jason McAteer.

Scored the best goal ever seen at Wembley.
